MaxHash Ubiq Pool Updates
Payout Threshold:
We have now changed the minimum payout threshold on the Ubiq pool to "0.5 UBQ" as we were starting to get a bottleneck in queued payouts when the pool had a good run of blocks. This change should increase efficiency and make payouts more consistent for miners and also allow us to scale better for the continued growth of the pool.
US Server Upgrade
Tonight we will also be making a planned server upgrade in the US location at 21:00 UTC/16:00 EST. We expect there to be a very small amount of mining down-time for US miners of around 5-10 minutes as the DNS changes are propagated. The new server is a real beast and we estimate it will be able to handle over 1 TH/s running through it. While the change is not strictly necessary right now, we are always trying to stay ahead of the problems related to growth and also this will give us the option of opening pools for other coins as well ahem Ethereum cough The US server will now come into line with the EU server specification and will also be running the latest NVMe hard drives which are 20x faster than a standard SSD drive. We apologize for any disruption caused by this.

The Ethereum pool is on a bit of a hot streak right now. Found another block today at 20% variance and hash rate growing steadily with miners reporting 50% more profit over the bigger pools. compared to ethermine, which gains more? anyone had any run on this?
We are a smaller pool so we find less blocks than the bigger pools such as ethermine. But this means when we do find a block you will get a much bigger piece of the pie. Recently we have been on a bit of hot streak, having found 3 blocks in 3 days and our miners reporting double earnings in this period compared to what they get on larger pools. We have also had 0 downtime since launch and we have our share difficulty properly configured to support all levels of miners. This is especially important for smaller miners who waste a lot of a work submitting vastly to difficult stale shares to these larger pools. Greetings miners! Team MaxHash is happy to announce that the long awaited Asian mining server is now officially open on the Ethereum pool! This server (located in Singapore) will drastically reduce latency and improve performance for our Asia & Oceania based miners with less stale shares and a better connection to the pool. With this change it will also further allow us to optimize our other servers and reduce difficulty even more as now all miners no matter where they are located in the world should have a reasonable latency to the mining nodes. That is because you are mining in a pool When a block is found by the pool then the block reward (250 music) is divided between all the miners in the pool based on there share contribution. You only get 250 music for each block you find when you are solo mining. |
