as long as it is useful, why not.
I use it for several times, I communicate with crypto users to discuss about ICO trading or investment.
we are interconnected there, and so far telegram is the best service to communicate quickly and easily.

Meh, I think the only good channels are the ones that are composed of a small number of people whom you trust fully. Cause if you're going to join a group with hundreds, or even thousands of people, you're probably in a group where people are just trying to sway the market through all the traders on tele. It's been done before and will be done again, but if you do want this here are some links.

Telegram now nowadays are very useful to all ico project. Because all the updates can be found in this social site, and sometimes they require their participants or investors to be part of it so that they will always update in it.

There are many tg chanels, but I haven't seen a single one of them interesting. Usually they are polluted by the same questions of newbies that keep coming back... And if their access is restricted, they are paid for... On the other hand, I appreciate tg to discuss and question the dev from the ICO. Most of them are totally available and I prefer this interface to slack...

Telegram is the best way for communications IMHO. Secure, fast and simple. I separately use channels for every altcoin i have - you can find them on official web-sites and twitter channels.

It's useful since they can communicate with it in an easy way but there are also people who are taking advantage of these channels.

Some are creating different channels just to benefit themselves by making a pump and dump groups and suggesting the coins to buy in their own purpose.

And after getting some decent profit acting like a pro in trading, they'll be starting to flee his people on that channel.

Why do people hand over their mobile phone number to use a chat group, when there are others that do not require your personal details?

This was also my question when I saw a new ICO (it was a good one, not like the other hundreds). The developer announced bounty programs, but the use of telegram was mandatory, so I just let them go...
I know it's easy and straightforward, but there are a lot of other possible apps that doesn't record the phone nr. and other data... Using telegram is fancy at the moment Smiley

Let's create a channel that will be closed, and it will include only a limited number of people? By invitation or by recommendation. Would you like to participate in such an experiment?  Smiley

Slack was already have dirty image as of now because it is being used for scamming people through spamming phishing links that's why most ICO as of now and its devs do tend to make use of telegram instead to avoid such risk of hacking and scamming.Telegram experience was great since you can able to communicate with the team. Privacy would depend on its owner. There are lots to choose from.

it depends on how well organised a coin's set up is. a well put together one will have different channels for different subjects so discussion is never drowned out. then again i've only looked at smaller coins. a telegram channel for something like ethereum would be almost impossible to read.

either way anything has to be better than slack. that's a hateful system.

I highly recommended to have one telegram account for bounty purposes. It is the easier way to have updates from certain groups of bounty hunters who shared airdrops and open bounty campaigns. It is also one way of helping each other by giving small amounts for gas for ethereum transfer or the likes. Then the groups can also give referrals to each other, helping out boosting points. A group should be just below ten members if you want to have a peaceful place to chill than more with so much spamming. Telegram doesn’t need identification, so anonymity still on.

It's different between telegram channels and telegram group, people can't spam their opinion in telegram channels obviously.
On the other hand, telegram group may full of useless chat among the members, especially for bounty group or trading group.
I've joined several telegram group and few channels, only two group seems informative and attracted due to people in this group have same purpose about something and no one dare to spam Grin. There are several telegram channels which will be useful, such as News channels about cryptocurrency.

ive seen some reports stating that slack are bad to use because there have been many scammers and phishers that are creating a fake channel on it therefore slack has not been advisable to use whenever theres a bounty or signature campaigns that requires group chatting. yet telegram is the most recommended nowadays becasue its much safe and easy compared to slack.
