Using robots can make our life easier. And thats what our Engineer/IT/ etc do. It has less mistakes and do their job programmatically or systematically. It dont get tired and can work all day except if it is overheat or malfunctioned. On the other hand, there two type of human workers. First the good, usually they do their job with passion and vert dedicated. While the other do only their job to survive, can also be lazy, unpassionate and a lot of complaints which you cant see in robots. Also if theres such a time that robots take over the job of human a lot of people would be surely unemployed. So finding good alternatives would be best.

The good thing you can look forward to is that there will not be a complete overhaul on humans being replaced by AI in the workforce. The problem with AI is that if it is not programmed properly there is the threat that it can get hacked. Try selling a self-automated system that has the possibility of getting hacked. Think of the consequences of unsafe systems.

Unfortunately, whether you think it is good or bad, it appears that it is inevitable at this point.

Robots destroy far more jobs than they create. They don't require health insurance or healthcare. They don't pay taxes. They have no rights or freedoms. They form no unions. Stage no strikes. Protest nothing. They're the ideal worker. Their main competition comes from nations with low cost of living expense / low wages driving low cost of labor. Between outsourcing/offshoring of jobs and robots many established nations will lose millions of jobs which were once done by humans.

Some estimates claim 50% of all jobs are in danger of being automated someday:

Quote
Half of American jobs are at risk from automation, new study suggests

The American workforce is under tremendous pressure, with change coming on multiple fronts. That uncertainty is leading to political and social turbulence, a new research paper suggests.

One in four American jobs are at risk of being shipped overseas in the coming years and about half could be replaced by automation, according to Ball State University's Center for Business and Economic Research. A new paper titled, "How Vulnerable are American Communities to Automation, Trade, and Urbanization?" combines several recent studies on employment trends to present a stark view of the future job situation for certain parts of the country.

"Some places and people observe robust benefits while others observe primarily costs" from the changes underway, the researchers wrote. "This has important economic, social, and political implications."

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/19/half-of-american-jobs-are-at-risk-from-automation-new-study-suggests.html

The implications of this bring about discussion on topics such as (UBI) universal basic income where people are supplied wages by the state due to there being no jobs available for humans.

Permaculture, living off grid and similar topics also tend to come up in discussions on job automation.

Massive automation will surely deeply influence the economy since it will affect the money flow. It's quite simple - if people are not earning, they cannot spend and pay taxes. Not to mention the fact that they will not have the means to live. There is an attempt to address this issue by so called "Universal basic income" where every citizen should get certain amount of money per month regardless of it's social, employment or any other status. It's something like monthly airdrop Smiley. But at the moment it's just an experiment in several countries Finland beeing one of them.

Woah. My country has this kind of platform -monthly airdrop - but the beneficiary is only the unprivileged. It is made because of the poverty caused by the unemployment that caused by this automation replacing the man power. It is quite sad but the bad effect of this will greatly affect the majority of the "lower class" people. This innovation is inevitable indeed because we're approaching the era were purely technological things are used.

The good part of robots doing works will result in increased output, efficiency and productivity.
But the negative part is far more adverse, it will lead to increase in unemployment.
And robots can't actually replace all human works.

I think whether we like it or not, the world is leaning into automation of manual jobs. Yes it will obsolete most of the workforce in the present and many will lose their jobs. the only question is how prepared are government or company on finding other job for the displaced.

This is the disadvantages of robots. Technology is making our lives easier because it don't need manpower to do the job. But it replacing jobs for people who want to earn. Unemployment rate will increase because they use technology now more than people. This is the problem that the world is facing right now. Only the rich is getting even more richer because they spend small amount because technology less expensive. And poor getting even more poorer. This is something that is needed to be address in the future. Employment. Technology kills jobs for people.

Well the robots are only executing a series of instructions given to them and they cannot do anything outsid nthe box. It is just not going to be the same except that human capital will be reduced worldwide and improve efficiency but then it will bring unemployment.

as i said on the title what are the good effects and bad effects of robots in replacing human jobs.
What is your opinion about this guys.

My two cents in this topic is that, automation is certainly a good thing. As long as it is carefully planned by the government and companies that are involve. And i think the replacement of human jobs by robots will not come instantaneously, and human society will slowly adapt on whatever changes that will happen in our society.

Robots will certainly take away many jobs from the human which requires physical labour. However, robots will never be able to take such any such jobs which requires human brain power. The power of analyzing will never be better for robots than human. Robots can assemble cars but they can't decide on the sales strategy. So the good about it, that automation will make production jobs easier and faster which can bring down the production costs which will bring down the retail and price and hence inflation. But the bad part is that a lot of people will loose their job and doomed to death due that.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It is a long, long, LONG time down the road if robots are ever truly able to compete with Humans on natural communication. They will always be more dead and emotionless, "robotic" inside. What they lack in spiritual ability, they will make up for in mental and psychical though.

It would really shake up the society. As more and more jobs get taken by robots, human would find it even harder to find work, especially if the education system is not preparing students for this.

It would also mean the power for those who control the production increases even more.

if my opinion, the work done robot is assessed in terms of positive is will simplify the work and further reduce the workforce, but if judged in terms of negatives, of course in addition to just doing that job wrote it, also less good in social terms, reciprocity with seaama, that's what I think Smiley

The good effects of robot in human society is that robot can take some of the works and activities that human must do, it helps in such ways. Robots can be man's friend and can influence people. On the other hand, the bad and negative effects of robot is that human is going to expect more from robot. Humans become lazy, neglect their works and activities. Humans will be depend on robots.

Good effects will be less mistakes since robots are programmed. It will avoid human errors. Also it is faster than human labor. The bad effect will be unemployment rate will increase and will end up poverty. And people will be more lazy because robots will take their work.
You can’t just say like this. This is only a misconception that when robots will take over one thing, humans will be unemployed. There are always chances for humans everywhere, every time. People are making rumors about it and you are accepting that thing. No, there will be no unemployment even robots are there at work, chances will be same for everyone, just need to find out them.

There will be works wherein robots are not capable of. As humans, change for betterment is always constant for us. We need to step up as some works that robots can do are not worthy of our time anymore. Saying robots are not good and promotes unemployment is just like wishing we were back in the stone age where no calculators, washing machines etc.

Humans should not have to do what a robot can do - so definitely positive.

Ordinary workers can then move up the hierarchy of needs, which now only the rich people get to do. When you no longer have to run behind money and work for a living, time can be utilized to engage in intellectual and philosophical endeavor, which would have a positive outcome for the society as a whole.

But for this to happen, many of the social structures need to be re-engineered so that the benefits of robotized production percolates to everyone.

The good effects on robots are the efficiency. There are factors to reduce efficiency on humans. Health issues is one of those that reduces the efficiency of a certain factory. Robots are immune to be sick and it only needs maintenance in a certain time. The bad effects of robots to humans are the number of unemployment will increase due to the robots who took the peoples job.
