I noticed throughout your site it states that miners get 99%, owners get 1%, and 1% gets sent to the jackpot.
Where ? 1% is for the owners , but people that register on www / with no owner give it to the jackpot. Oh, it should say under Payment Structure something like: "If a user doesn't have a parent miner, then the 1% owner fee goes into the jackpot." I changed it

Are invalids and stales the same thing? The worker page always shows - for invalids for me, but the JSON API page shows stales.

yes, same I guess that makes my previous post a bug report (either the JSON API is showing lifetime stales 0and wow are they low] or the worker page isn't showing the rounds shares, but instead always shows '-').

Is this better or worse for people who have been mining strictly in triplemining? Will we receive bigger shares?

damn the current block is taking ages.... Is this better or worse for people who have been mining strictly in triplemining? Will we receive bigger shares? I'm not sure on the answer to that. It is interesting, though. I think this block started during the jackpot day, so GHash/s jumped up to like 133, then slowy trickled down to its 40 GHash/s. Those still mining are increasing their portion of the total number of shares, but those who left might be getting the benefits pool hoppers get (though presumably those benefits dwindle in a case like this). However, at the end of the day it's still only 50 BTC to go around to everyone involved in the 120+ hours so far, whereas if three blocks were solved in 24 hours, that would be 150 BTC to go around. That said, if everyone quit mining, the block would never be solved, so the longer (more shares) you have mined, the more you would have to lose by quitting. When they go to PPLNS, this all changes, and only those mining within 60 minutes of the solution get anything, which would be hugely beneficial to those solely mining at triple on the rare monster block like this one (unless the timing of a problem screwed them over).

You still get a portion though, no? I've been mining for three days on and off. I've solved nearly 50,000 shares for this block -_-

You still get a portion though, no? I've been mining for three days on and off. I've solved nearly 50,000 shares for this block -_- As long as they don't switch to PPLNS before the round ends, you will get your share. Once they switch to PPLNS, it will be important that you are mining with them at a consistent rate all of the time in order to insure you get your share, however, those who do that will do better per block than they do now, and pool hoppers will be discouraged from using the pool, making it more stable and supposively more fair. EDIT: Presumably you only mine at night. In that case, your best bet is probably to look for a SMPPS pool. With those, you get paid a set amount per share. The pool keeps the excess when a block is found fast and uses it to pay the difference when a block is found slow. Presumably TripleMining is small enough to consider that (SMPPS) risky for them to implement. Disclaimer: Everything following the word "EDIT:" above is based 100% on my personal assumption.

It depends, and I would assume that they will let us know how exactly how they will calculate payouts when they do go to PPLNS (if not before then). That said, but you need to know how all of your potential pools payout before you leave one to go to another that does the same thing.

There was another block before that had about the same amount of time: #135556 GENERATED 50.09400000 BTC July 10, 2011 136 hours 5 626 320 YES

That block was while Triplemining was fairly new and 50 GHash/s wasn't typical (much less 130 GHash/s for the first several hours). However, this is in no way Triplemining's fault, it's just luck, I've seen blocks with over 8 million shares and heard of blocks with over 10 million shares. OTOH, I've seen blocks with less than 25 thousand shares at this difficulty. It's supposed to all average out on the end, and TripleMining had some fairly good luck not too long ago.

Is anyone having success with this?
Does this payout more than using slush's pool?
