Hi everyone!

2 years ago I bought a Big Mac (around 5 Euros) to bring to a good friend that was really hungry ...I did not want the money back so he proposed to give me the equivalent in BTC; He explained a bit about it, convinced me to download Mycelium on my phone and then he sent me 0,017 BTC

Then I totally forgot about it...
...last week he messaged me: "hey, did you ever open/check again Mycelium...!? If not, go and check!"
So I discovered "that Big Mac" is now a 5/6-course dinner in really nice restaurant Roll Eyes Shocked!!

That's how my story with the Bitcoin started and why I've decided to join BCT Forum!

I've looked around and I found a lot of guide and Q&A here that I'm going to read to understand deeply this new (to me) world!

My first question is:
Any suggestion about the best way to invest my "BigMac"...? May I just keeping it or...?

A special thanks to my "Big Mac addicted" friend!

Bye from Italy  Wink

Hello to Italy,
I am also a newbie and want to invest maybe more than $5. I am joining the question about how to invest the best these days. I can invest $500, but Bitcoin looks too high. Anyone? Smiley

I started bitcoin with bitcasino, a minecraft server. I remember they used to give you 0.001 every 30 minutes. I used that and built that up to 1.7 BTC. Unfortunately I spent most of it but I still have a few BTC left that I am keeping. I recommend you keep and invest more into BTC.

That's a good advice, I am planning to participate in some bounties. f.e. this one looks promising.

Wow! What a story! You are lucky, aren't you?
I would recommend to keep it for now, at least till the next BTC fork. And then make a decision.

Learn how to do altcoin trades I am sure it will help you multiply that bitcoin that you obtained from treating a friend of years a meal on big mac. Another tip I can give you is to convert that into fiat now and rebuy some bitcoin later when price got pretty low. The probability of btc price dumping soon is high and the latter might be a wise move to do. Just always remember to follow crypto prices to know when to act.

This is exactly how I've introduced some people to Bitcoin: have them install Mycelium, and pay them for whatever they paid for me.
It's a much nicer way to get people "hooked" than trying to convince them to buy Bitcoins. That's up to them once they like how it works (and goes up in value).

You went from 5 to 100 euro in 2 years, I'd say your investment is totally fine the way it is!
Just to be sure: did you backup the word seed from Mycelium, so you can recover it in case your phone breaks?

Learn how to do altcoin trades I am sure it will help you multiply that bitcoin
That's gambling, and a great way to see your 0.017BTC turn to dust.

You can't time the market.
Based on this exact same logic, he should have sold his 0.017BTC for 5 euro 2 years ago, and wait for Bitcoin to drop. People who did that are still waiting, or they bought back in at a much higher rate.

Hi everyone!

2 years ago I bought a Big Mac (around 5 Euros) to bring to a good friend ...

Very nice story. A friend of mine told me to get in around april 2017. I had no time; to many other projects at this time. When he remembered me some month later i joined in the BTC and had to pay $ 3,500 for one BTC which cost about $ 600 some month before. Sad

A very "late" hello to you as you are quite late Buddy.
If you ever tried back to research about Bitcoins before and put some money instead of buying some more "big macs" either to your friend or yourself, I believe you might have held a lot of amount in fiat, which if you even spend on some luxurious foods, will never diminish the quantity and with the increasing values and only give you some great opportunities to eat up more and better. Wink
But I like the way how you forgot about your coins which were near to something and are now worth too much, this could be said to be the best strategy to hold by forgetting about your coins (but not the private keys of course). Tongue

Yes, unfortunatley I know I'm "late".. my friend told me that if instead of playing all day Ogame (back in 2009 we played together) we had mined with the same pc, today our life will be different... but "Should have, could have, don't matter!"

Ha, that's a very similar story to how I introduced someone to bitcoin, I offered them bitcoin instead of cash for lunch and since then they keep a close eye on it and buy every now and again.  You could just keep it like you have done and then come back in a few years and see the growth, you might be able to buy a house and a nice kitchen to cook yourself a meal in.
