Since 85% were signaling for segwit2x, would it allow your average gpu miners to mine the original fork? Until the ASIC takes over again that is..

No, as even 15% of the hashrate is trillions of times too high to mine with GPU.

Signalling intent doesn’t mean the signalling entities have to switch to the HF. It’s only intent and chances are many of them probably won’t even switch. Considering many NYA supporters have already stopped signalling S2X is already starting to lose its wings and we could see even less signalling in the future.

As for mining ck hit the nail on the head.

GPU lack of efficiency vs ASIC does not CHANGE - you still can't even come close to competing.

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!
