For me it seems very impossible that ETH price can move ahead of BTC. You can consider that might be the ETH price may give better returns as compared to BTC if the demand for this coin rises and btc prices becomes more expensive and its fees are impossible to pay for.

It is possible, but highly unlikely anytime soon. If you are prepared to wait for some years - no idea how long and if it will happen - then buy and hold Ethereum. The truth is that people, for now at least believe that bitcoin, with all is problems is the coin to follow, that could change, and even when it does, there is no guarantee that eth will usurp it;. It could be any coin from the hundreds of alts in the market.

Maybe yes maybe no, no one knows what will happen in the future but so far as of now no one defeat the price of bitcoin compared to ethereum and bitcoin now is very high demand to the people. Also bitcoin is very popular now across the country my establishment and companies who adopt and use bitcoin. So it will no be happen.

Of course, that the ether will beat bitcoin, nobody believes it and compare them not worth it. But to keep both is an idea, and a safety net for future fluctuations.

For me it is possible but there are other wallet that cant hold ethereum like what I am using. So it needs to convert to bitcoin or other supported currency. So it will overtake bitcoin it takes a long time. For this generation bitcoin will rise.

NO it would be definitely impossible just look at the time gap difference and the succces without having even a manager bitcoin manages it all the way through with its miners help. Although ethereum have a head-start to an advanced world of gadgets than bitcoins first upheaval it didnt faze them and keep trying all the way through

The possibility and the probability that Etheruem will overcome or overtake bitcoin is too low we can rate the percentage by 20% possibility for these days, the chances of it is too low because bitcoin is in demand, popular and leading cryptocurrency over digital and altcoins out there that's why it is always first and the ethereum is the number 2 on the spot but we can't ignore the chances that someday Etheruem will be the leading digital coins out there because something happened in the bitcoin that made its price crash.

Yeah it possible happen to ethereum now it is more profitable like bitcoin, this kind of altcoin the ethereum will rise in the future like bitcoin now as what they predict. In holding both of them is a good decision they are all both profitable no need to choose or to compare as long as you have then keep it and save.

It's possible in the long run. If we keep having numerous forks that don't do much for bitcoin, or ones that don't give any info of the forked coin, chances are that people will start moving their money into altcoins and ether is on of the most popular ones. If this trend continues, it could be true that one day ether will be stronger than what Bitcoin was and it will ever be.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Doesn't seems possible and will never going to happen. Ethereum still need a very long time to gain the trust of majority as bitcoin already has. Check the price and popularity graphs and you will notice a massive community of crypto never ever want an alt to come over the real boss. Many people are pointing to the forks that they will destroy bitcoin but in fact these forks are making bitcoin more strong and reliable.

That's right eth is been undervalued and stuck at $300 for a really long time not saying it can shoot upto $7k suddenly but it's always better to have variations in your investment rather than just sticking to one.

I don't really understand what you are trying to convey first you say it is impossible and then btc fees increases , cif you wanna spam atleast make some sense don't simply post anything just to get more lines.

You can't just kick eth out i still believe it has some hope of being a higher value i just don't understand why do people wanna replace btc currently btc has everything from online payments , easier selling methods it's better if everything else remains after btc.

I have invested on both cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin and ethereum, what I can see is that ethereum has a potential to be valued more than Bitcoin, the transactions are the same, the ideology is the same, I think what differentiates the their value, Bitcoin being valued more than 10x than ethereum, but if ethereum also received the same popularity as Bitcoin, I think ethereum can go head to head Bitcoin, but as of now, people will need to learn to accept cryptocurrencies in the future, and if all did, it will open up a huge market for all cryptocurrencies.

Etherium has promising future but bitcoin is more established than it. We have seen and continue to see how the forks have fix bugs and errors. And its becoming more stable than any other coin. Etherium is secondly to most good investment coin. I think its better to diversify invest in different coin such as etherium and other promising alt. Diversifying will help to decrease loss of profit ans maximize the ability to earn profit.

There is a similar thread in another section.
Just try to hold both of them and you will get a lot of guarantee for your amount, both as the majr crypto really promising in my opinion.
you can try to put 60% to the bitcoin and the remaining value to the ethereum and see what will be happening in some years later. You may become a millionaire.

That just doesn't make sense, we need the reason of why Ethereum will never overtake bitcoin and you give none, just a speculative statement. There's so many chances for Ethereum that it could overtake bitcoin position in the future but who knows. No one could predict, so we need to analyze from the current data to make the decision of whether eth could overtake BTC.

Bitcoin is the world's biggest cryptocurrency but there are now close to 8000. Meanwhile, ethereum price is close 700. As of the time of this publication, Bitcoin's market cap hovers around $42.4 billion, with Ethereum not too far behind at $34.6 billion.
So that Ethereum never overtakes Bitcoin.
