It is ok to buy bitcoin because its price still grows. The bitcoin still didn't reach its peak yet so it is not late to buy some bitcoins.

No it is not the right time to invest in bitcoin because segwit2x is just cancelled so the price will decrease in coming days so just wait for some more days or weeks and then buy bitcoin.  Good option is to invest in other altcoins because they will grow in future.

I think right now is the good time to buy bitcoin since it is rising at such a rate we could not even imagine. But some say that the price will drop and i think it would not hurt to consider the idea to wait for the drop to happen. You can also part your money. One part of it would go to bitcoin today, and the other part to the day the value of bitcoin drops.

As far as I know, the fork is not going to take place anytime during this month (it was planned but then cancelled as of now). However, I am with the opinion that there is a price correction going to take place  within a month or two so buying at this point might cause a short term loss of 20% to 30% thus I won't recommend it for the short term investment. Since scheduled fork is cancelled, there is no reward for buying at this price considering short term.
