don't you think facebook will claim the brand for this project? it does look like they already own the word face on the internet and mind you they are very much richer now, facebook can already influence the world. the team could lose the domain in this case. has anyone mentioned this in the thread?

When creating the name for our decentralized social network we consulted our legal team and made sure no copyright will be infringed. However if the problem arises, we have backup plans, changing the name and logo in such a way that we wont lose our identity.

There is none specified bounty thread for the project but bounties were mentions and the end of the OP post ,maybe needs to email the devs if wants to join,  the project seems interesting if we can really be used the feature of copyright,for today it was easy in social media to have dummy accounts that became waste on that websites.

seen a lot of projects from webmasters and facebook took them down by such infringement case, it could either be the domain and even the word "face" on its domain  so long as the project is related to social media, its going to suffer. but its a good thing you have some back up.

I do agree with a few others here about the legal concerns and I also understand this is something you have already considered.  Still though, I remember my law classes from college and the imagery definitely stirs concern.
