I have my money on Spectrecoin (XSPEC).  It is a (as yet) little known coin with robust privacy and anonymity technology, several exciting groundbreaking features (current & upcoming), a tiny market cap, fewer than 21 million currently in circulation - and it is still available for under $1 per coin (for now).  As the roadmap gets implemented and word gets out, this coin is likely to move up through the ranks very quickly.

I tend to gravitate toward coins that can be staked for returns. I also agree with srqrebel that privacy coins are a solid investment. Many of them have already boomed, but there are still some out there in their infancy that are worth looking into.

Here are a handful of lower market cap alts that I'm into right now.

Less than or around $1:
Wabi (This is a solid watch, many expect it to x5-10 in the coming months with expected news)
Request Network (At the most basic level, Paypal on the blockchain)
XSpec (Privacy coin, very under the radar. Can stake your coins for a return. Will have stealth staking in v1.5)
Publica (Self-publishing on the blockchain)

These are more established price-wise, but still good buys imo:
Ark ("Connecting" blockchains together with listener nodes)
Lisk (Dapps based on Javascript)
OMG (As mentioned by several people. I really like OMG longterm, as many do).

Of the coins listed above, XSPEC, ARK, LISK and OMG (soon-ish) can all be staked for returns. As always, DYOR!

Do your own research and pick 1 or 2 atl coins and focus on that. But i recommend to you is ethereum, ethereum is nice and the price going higher and it's stable for now, This coin have a potential in future i think.

if you want to invest in long term surely i will recommend you to choose ETH because it is popular and easy to use but also steady rise in the future but if you want short term profit than you should choose to invest in Ripple, it is rising rapidly and dont drop too much, it is a good altcoins in the future.

I think ethereum has become a good coin for investment. but we must have a choice of coins other than ethereum for our investment to be varied and varied I think ripple can be a long-term investment.

Every coin is going up these last days, and some even reached new ATH (Monero, ethereum,...) . Personally, I will wait to buy some more altcoins and just hold what I have. I think we are in a bubble and that the prices will go down in the future.

If you think we are in the middle of a bubble then why are you going to hold your coins, after all if you are so sure, you are going to get more profits by selling everything you have and then buying your coins back and obtain a profits that way, sometimes you need the conviction to go for what you want it can be difficult to do it at time but sometimes we must  follow our instincts.

there are a lot of altcoins that you can choose and potential to be the next coins that will increase. I already invest my money in minex, waves, and another coin. I don't expect to reach a big profit in short but if the coin can give me a lot of profit then I would be glad. I think you need to find out by yourself so you can find what coin that is match with you want.
