To clear something, you should know that there is no altcoin that is safe to invest and you should not be convinced by the people who are trying to sell their favorite altcoins because those are not safe because all of the altcoins have its own risk and you should know that. At present it does not seems that any coin be risk free to invest in. There is a huge risk that does exists at present due to the huge price movement happening in btc either upwards or downward and could lead to huge gain/loss if invested in the altcoin and specific single altcoin rather than averaging it out by buying some multiple good altcoins.

Well know coins are ETH, bitcoincash, litecoin and dogecoin. These are the safest coins and are well known so you will not be scammed with these coins they are actually worth something.

These coins are nearly in the top 50. The safest coins are in the top 50 or 20 in the market. You can trust these coins with your heart because they have all the support from the people because it couldn't get here without the support.

Have you heard of AICOIN(XAI).  Modest gains minimal losses attracted me to the project in the first place.  Under the radar because it not listed on any major exchange. They still have a thread here on the forum.  If you have any specific questions.

Logic said that inside investment we need to be wise if we can set up our goals and we do ride with such rides  I think for long term alts just hold ETH and Waves platform would be one of the best offer coming from such project, we will see this after some years and holding would be very profitable at all.

In my thoughts are ethereum, dash and monero for now. Cryptocurrency are volatile. But any investment they are always risks involved.

If safety is all you are concerned about, then any of the top 15 coins on coinmarketcap would be good.
Some might argue that BCH is not a safe investment due to the recent pump craziness, so you might want to double check some things if you are thinking about that one.
Also, dash is another one that has quite a bit of controversy because it's so centralized.

If the top coins don't interest you, then look at at coin's history.
The ones that have been around for over a year and have had a steady price range indicate a more solid coin.
If its history is filled with tons of pump and dumps than it might just be another shit coin.

Finally, the best thing to do is just research yourself.
You will quickly start getting a good idea on solid projects vs. shitty ones.

The more volume will give the more guarantee for us, ethereum as the second major crypto which it can be determined as the coin with a lot of the backer. With strong support from the community and it can become safest altcoin to invest or you can try to invest some of your money in the ico and i suggest you about spectre ico.

If you ask for safest coin in altcoins, It's Ethereum. Eth can help you in making minimal gains. But in the long run, Bitcoin is the safest coin but the problem is it's high price. So if you have not much cash to invest in Bitcoin, I recommend Eth.
