Google results show more people searching for Bitcoin than gold

I have had to rub my eyes to double check that is a 9 as in 9K in front of the Bitcoin price. I guess that will make headlines and when it does people will get curious and search Google. I am not sure gold is a good comparison though, as someone pointed out - most people have a good handle on what thats about and dont Google it a lot.

I think it is because the future is now. More people are now interested to digital currency like bitcoin rather than gold. The price of bitcoin is becoming higher as time goes by rather than gold. Also, bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are coming out to some news and articles thats why more people become curious about it.

Compared with bitcoin, Gold is outdated.
Although both of them has scarcity, liquidity and fungibility, Bitcoin has much better transferability and divisibility compared with gold.
You cannot carry 100Kg of gold in the street and it is difficult to divide the gold.

Say whaaat?  Dude, gold was "discovered" way longer ago than 1848.  That may have been the gold rush in the United States, but you're missing a huge part of history if you think that.

Precious metals are pretty much a dead investment right now.  Look at where the market has been since 2011--down and sideways.  No growth whatsoever.  So does it really surprise you that people are googling bitcoin, which has grown like 1000's of % since 2009?  That's normal, whereas gold has been around for centuries and there's not much going on in the world of precious metals markets.  Gold is still a nice, shiny metal that makes for nice coins and jewelry--and that's all it's ever going to be.  The bull market is in bitcoin, not metals, so all of this is to be expected.

It's not really that crazy if you think about it. Gold has existed since forever, and people know what gold is. Bitcoin on the other hand, not everyone knows what that is yet. What what do people do when they don't know something? They google it. So BTC being searched more than gold isn't surprising at all.

Why should people search about gold on internet ?  As far as i know bitcoin is relate to internet without it we can't control our coins neither we can earn it. But about gold its free to use everywhere and there's no internet required probably bitcoin exist on internet so people search on it. We can gain more info from people about gold as compare to internet.

Honestly when was the last time anyone cared about gold? Noone really uses it. Its not surprising for people to search for bitcoin than gold because bitcoin plays a big role in different lives today most especially that christmas season is coming and as they discover that bitcoin is more profitable than gold people will really find ways on how to earn it.Bitcoin became more known to our society because of its unstoppable price that keeps on rising.I think most people will go through the new era the new trends of earning money through digital currency.

I started thinking that why do we need to search about gold? We all know what is gold its been teached to us what it is in our science class and gopd are very old and this era is the internet era which means all the people will be curious about something new something that are unusual to hear because you cannot heard about bitcoins to anybody and bitcoins is the future because ypu do no want to be outdated to those things.
