Are there and addnodes with the right chain? I've tried a number of times to resync the block chain but always end up on the chain @ ~460000 blocks, only finding one connection.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Just thought I'd add another pool to this coin

http://xencoinpool.com (P2Pool)

cgminer --scrypt -o http://xencoinpool.com:4337/static/ -u YOURADDRESS -p 1

Hopefully someone can fix the coin explorer

Anyone know where the block chain should be now - i'm at 487527 but only have one connection?

I've tried the nodes above in the conf but just seem to sync back to this point.

Giving your pool a go - don't get too excited - low hash rate  Smiley Smiley

P.S. Synced fine now - thanks.

This coin is very under-valued based on volume at this point, unfortunately people are to busy with DOGE and CAT coin.. lol... will be the death of me those two coins.

does anyone have a brief history of what has happened with this coin since it launched? It's still up for trading at coins-e but there does not seem to be any activity dev wise.

I can take a guess, given that it was premined 5% while it was pumping out 2,000 coins per block, and we can safely assume that the creator probably snagged 99% of those first 10,000 blocks , they have roughly 19,800,000 coins. Given that on Nov. 25 they started getting dumped on coins-e in large amounts (48,103 on the first day, ramped to 741,076 the next time large trading occurred, then 4mill, then 5.5 mill, the 1.5 mill and then 400,000 about 12.3 Million of those have been dumped) we can assume that the owner is doing a large cash out, and at an average of about .0000019ish (I'm not going to do the math so this is a very rought guess) the developer has made about 23BTC in the dump (maybe more) or about $18,000. The problem with these alt coins is they allow for a very quick cash cow to the preminer especially when they set the blocks that they are going to premine so high.

PROP Xencoin pool - http://xnc.scryptlife.com/

We've found over 3500 blocks in the last week which is estimated to be approx 20% of blocks generated in the same period.

wow. I think the pools in the original post need updating. Alot of dead links, and a pool that has massive orphan rates!

Please add my pool - http://xnc.scryptlife.com/

Seems to be a lot more interest in this coin lately - a lot more mining (network hashrate 80 MH/s at the moment) and the difficulty is creeping up from 0.09 a few days ago to 0.4 now.

Just tried mining solo on my laptop at just a 100 khash's and found a confirmed block (200xnc) in less than 30 mins! Might be a fluke but worth a go  Smiley
