Summer is the best! How could you like winter  Because we're men. Hard grizzled men. I myself am a heavily tattooed hairy ex biker that does charity work on the weekends. Because I'm a man. Summer is for children, and I won't begrudge it you. Winters for little girls who like to stay home and play with their barbies. Summers for the real men who go out and dont care about the suns heat, it doesnt phase us. Bah! A barbie in winter? Are you some kind of weirdo? Summer is barbie weather, just when it's at it's hottest. You probably just want to cool down in summer and get warm in winter. I don't like summer because it's too easy. Have to sleep rough? You wont freeze to death if you have to sleep outside in summer. Winter is the hard man's season. |

Necroing the fuck summer thread, I've currently gotten hayfever so bad that my eyelids are purple and I feel like I have the flu or a really bad cold despite taking Piriton, fuck summer! FUCK IT!

It's that time of the year again folks! While it's only spring in a month or two we're going to have summer all over again, as we speak I'm popping piriteze so I don't suffer as much this year but I still haven't got enough money for air conditioning yet, not looking forward to when it gets hotter.
Edit: Yes, I did just search out this really old thread to necro it, worth it, I thought I had a "I hate summer" thread lying around somewhere but couldn't find it.

I used to think like that. I even wrote a song about how I don't like the summer.
However, ~1 year ago me and friend of mine were walking to some place in a heavy blizzard and -20°C, so we decided to remember that moment and think of it every time we started disliking summer. And, well, since that moment I've loved summer, and hated winter. I live in Sweden though. Not Britain.

-you have to dress up in layers, waste of time, slows movement, makes you spend more energy just to move around in heavy winter boots
-day is short, you spend more money to light the house, and artificial light is less healthy
-you have to spend money on heating (and that can be a lot if you live in a house and there's -20*C outside)
-you can catch a cold easily, people are freezing to death every day, and you can slip on the ice and break a bone
-cars don't want to start in the morning and are always covered in salty mud that just corrodes everything. It's even worse if you have a bike - impossible to ride in such weather.
