I would like to get involved in any groups or campaigns which might be raising awareness of the truth behind the current attempt of BCH to takeover BTC, and how BCH is fundamentally a scam, or at best, a centralised coin.
Other than the obvious posting on Reddit and Twitter, does anyone here know where I should go to optimise my efforts to raise awareness for newbies?
Cheers

Most people really wouldn't care. They hold equal amounts of Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin, so price appreciation benefits them. In any case, this forum will be sanitized of any Bitcoin Cash supporting campaigns, unless they are restricted to the altcoin board. So no danger here.

I got to know about the situation and know that the whales are pumping the price. They just created a hype in the market saying that Bitcoin cash will be the next Bitcoin and this hype has influenced many users. Pretty sure it will never reach upto Bitcoins price and will dump really hard kicking everbody's asses out. I hope it does! Bitcoin has been the legend and must remain the same forever.

Besides, you have to be a computer hacker to figure out the codes to do that shit. With Caps, you just use the shift key. No complex codes.

Does BCH support Segwit?
Even though 2x is called off, doesn't Segwit in combination with Rootstock allow for a massive scale in transactions? So basically in a couple of month BTC will be capable of becoming a real currency for everyone and not only a store of value!?

Why do you think bch is a fraud? I do not think so. The evidence is that it survived. and still quite hot. BCH is a long story. let's see. That is my opinion. I just comment ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

some fair points there. I was getting worried, but now am a bit less, for myself anyway. I reckon that the BCH rhetoric and pump is just well timed with the long expected BTC correction, to try to convince noobs that there is a BCH flippenning which is causing the BTC 'crash'/correction. It isn't.

i laugh when people say "what group can i join to do X" its like asking what cabin can i trap myself in and circle jerk the same thoughts to others who think the same. whereby the outside world hears nothing.
but to answer the OP's question. he can suck eggs with core devs if he really wants to circle jerk the narrow mindset.
P.S if you really idolise decentralisation avoid joining core, avoid grouping yourself together in a small part of the internet, avoid trying to control the narrative with propaganda campaigns and instead spend your time actually learning what things are

Just a little bump to the price of the coin you are supporting and you are already a full pledged BCH supporter? I hope you are better than that. You are supporting a controlled coin and anytime you might see yourself broke if they dump it. Go put all your funds there if you really have the balls to do it. Leave bitcoin please.

while I'm not into BCH and I sold all my share at the beginning , I still don't know why some people try to call it scam where is the scam with it ?? it wasn't premine and if you were btc holder you already got your share so people didn't even pay for it in the past ??
I started to feel like some people are regretting that they sold their share early and now they are shocked with the price , cause you can call BCH whatever you want but not scam at all !!

Bcash is not a scam, it's a shitcoin that uses a lot of well timed manipulation, shills and fomo. The team exists out of a few corrupted money and powerhungry head-figures in the BTC world that want a decentralized coin and they are capable of manipulating the masses with blatant lies on a lot of official channels.

Personally I'm not worried that BCC will take the place of BTC, I am sure that this will not happen. You know why? BCC is a centralized coin. This is enough to understand that the BCC is trash.

If the 2x camp dumps enough BTC, the previous post fork target may be revised downward, could see 3000$ Once the miners start jumping ship for real BTC will have few blocks mined a day and 2x camp won't even have to spam transactions anymore. There will be an enormous selling pressure which will be exacerbated by slow transaction times. There is also a chance of a rewrite attack of the weaker chain, this is the nuke of the cryptoworld. If it happens everybody will be scared of any coin.
