I was wondering what's minimum / ideal amount of BTC or ETH I should have in order to start trading activity

If you have any idea or just want to share your first experience in crypto trading, feel free to write them bolow

it is difficult to know the minimum amount to start trade because every people don't have the same balance and we don't have the same skill to trade. so I think you need to check your money first before you decide to start trade and you need to determine how much money you want to use to trade. I think the ideal amount of bitcoin is about 0.1 btc to start or 3 eth so you can get move for many coins and you will use the amount to buy the coins.
I think one should think carefully before starting coin trading. It is obviously clear that every body have its own range of minimum depending on his capital. If some body wants buy coins, he should start with minimum so as to know trend of market and to avoid any mishap. Once you have begun trading with minimum and become aware of market then you can invest your max capital in trading.

I would recommend starting out with a small sum like $100-200 and trying to make short term profits by investing in altcoins as the Bitcoin market has seen a significant crash lately. This would ensure you experience and with the right choices and timings, you will end up with some profit too. Just look around in the altcoin section for potentially up and coming coins and divest into multiple alts just to be sure that you won't go down in one bow.

I agree. You need to actually have a substantial about to trade because having only a little would only limit the trades you can do. It's like going to a war with very little fire power. In trading, it would be better to possess a good amount because you may not know if the opportunity would come that would need for you to trade in a big amount for a bigger profit.

Having very little is of no use or value. Maybe you wont be able to trade as different exchanges have different minimum trading limit. Actually if the OP has very limited resources to trade, then he should wait and get a considerable amount so that he can be able to get profits, other the money will just be lost in moving the coins in and out of exchanges as withdrawals from exchanges has higher fee.

I think you should start with a minimum coin deposit and gain some experience from it,.. take your time on in and learn through the process, after you gain some experience now you can go for big deposit and be a legendary trader.. Smiley

Trade with the ETH judging by your knowledge and experience, this will suit you for sure. Especially there you can start with a small amount, which is easy to get a beginner in any bounty project.

Sometimes I'm also using eth for my trading because there are some coins that are much cheaper when you use eth than btc and so I always check the rate before I start trading.
For me, start with small amount and just add little by little when you already profited and have a decent experience. They say just invest what you afford to lose but the thing is nobody want to lose a single penny so just start with small amount.

All depends on your trading skills and your financial ability, if this is first trading for you then use the minimum fund for example 0.05BTC, but if you have skill trading and you are able to provide 1BTC fund then it will be much better. I use 0.03 BTC at the beginning of my trading and for now I prefer to trade from IDR(my local currencies)-BTC.

I think if you are a newcomer, you should start with a small budget such as 0.01 BTC. It helps you are more confident in trading and make a decision.

Well, how much experience do you have and what do you want to accomplish?

Not much, just trying to figure out ideal amount to start that activity. probably will be useful for me, or people who are willing to be a good trader.
first you should be ready for the consequences of being newbie trader, that your
capital might go to nothing, because so far daytrading is really a pain in ass.the price of
bitcoin is so high that not even alts can make any movement

.you can start by 0.5 eth thats enough for you to learn right and mistakes in trading
But if i were you try to put it in long time investment when ethereums price surely
increase by next yesr

If you would take my advice I would suggest to start with a minimum amount of $200-300 and earn short term profits and then analyze your growth with profits over this time and then invest huge amounts as the market is going down these days due to a lot of disturbances in crypto market. But invest surely because if it will give you no profit it will give a lot of knowledge and experience which is far better than other things.

it's very good if you start trading under 100k satoshi therefore minimize risk for the beginner trader. with minimal capital you can train your skills and skills to understand the science of trading.

I would also suggest the same. $200 or $300 are enough to risk and gain experience in trading.  I also want to suggest day trading in Bitcoin. This is a little hectic work but important to understand the digital market and value of Bitcoin. However going for alternative coins that are fluctuating a lot now a days will also help in increasing the capital bit by bit but the most profit can be earned only through Bitcoin.

start with $300 (depends on your financial situation as well, could be less or more)

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the world, and lose his own soul?

There is no minimum balance in trading though you will make smaller profit/loss when you hold smaller balance. I think 100k satoshi is fine.
To start with less number of coins are the excellent decision if you are new comer in the bitcoin forum because you need to get some experience and with time you can improve your trading and through this way you can become a big trader.

If you want to start trading with a minimum amount , it is possible crypto currency trading minimum deposit is $5-$10 , some website accept only minimum amount $5 and other site is accept only minimum invest $10 but if you want to start trading you can deposit minimum $100 other wise you can't make a profit so must invest minimum $100.

There is no such limit on how much money you can invest into crypto trading. But I would say in easy words that you should only invest money which you think you can afford to loose. I mean just make it the tagline and read it everyday because we can see huge dumps in the market itself. The ideal limit is nothing but to save yourself from the amount that you can not afford to loose.

It started with couple of hundred dollars and then lot of profit but not on my skills but my friends skill. A person who introduced me to the world of bitcoin also taught me how to outperform in the world of crypto trading. The first thing was you should be prepared to loose the money and don't fall for emotional distress. Apart from that you should be knowing your stop/loss limits and always trade on the top coins in the list. Likewise many rules and advices where there which kept me going for better money.

Yes its good decision that if you are new in trading or new in coin in trading then you need to start with low number of coins as you will get experience by working with coin then you can increased this with time slowly and in last you can make your trade very big.

If I were you, I would buy 4 ETC which is I will hold long term and then I will trade Litecoins starting from 200 USD. I will look at my USD value rather than BTC so that I could easily track my profit.
