I was going to say 16 just to keep in line with the whole "6" theme of this thread, but you're probably closer.

What an idiot.

Anyone that mines this coin, expect to get laughed at and mocked relentlessly on the forums.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

It's sometimes hard to tell if a poster is being sarcastic or not.  If you were sarcastic in your interest in mining this coin, then let me know, and I'll happily remove you from the list above.

You have a problem sir/madam?

More bored than anything.  Nothing exciting has been happening around here lately.  Just the same rehashed coins released again and again.  This time there is an appeal to the emo kids.  But nothing has actually changed.  Just the name of the coin and a few variables that have no effect on actual adoption of the coin at all.

Launch in 14 minutes, in the end noone is forced to mine anything. It's your choice whether you think this is worth your trouble. And yes, i will be mining it.

I'd like to try something using the premine i did, if you can prove a orphan was mined by you, i will reimburse. All the way up to block 6666 I'll start the thread the same time i start the one for giveaways. Rather than keeping a premine solely for myself i think this is a better use for it. Post proof, a simple claim won't garner attention.

I guess if its satan coin.. but it says nothing about satan.. and also, the number of the beast is actually 999
I see a pentacle and the number 6... which actually works out to success and good fortune

I take no credit for coins built using my tutorial and the 'foocoin' source, but I do relish in seeing them in the wild as it means I was useful help to someone somewhere out there in the big wide world web.

Could your next release be a legit coin plz I would mine it if it meets these specifications...

Name: Micro Credits
Algo: Scrypt
Total Coins created: 500 million
Block reward: Random from 25-50coins, to prevent coinchoose calculation
Retarget Time: 700 blocks, prevents flash mining

An attempt at merging pros of most coins into one coin.

  • 6 coins per block
  • block 66 has 66 coins
  • 666 has 666 coins and so on
  • 66 minute retarget
  • 66 second blocks
  • 666 million cap
  • Relaunch
  • Scrypt

Many coins suffer from orphans, I believe a 66 second target minimizes this.
I think billions of coins are unnecessary, hail the power of six.
To allow miners to be prepared i have given 6 hours before launch and the basic numbers

6666 - rpc port
6665 - listen port

All other details remain the same, changing host to 66.66.66.66 was an idea i thought may conflict and cause confusion.
Source and binaries are self compiled to avoid unfair launch.

Bounties -

66666 to the first pool
6666 to the second
666 to the third
666 to the block explorer (6666 if it's made in 6 or 66 minutes)
6666 for a faucet maximum 6 faucets
6666 for Mac client ( i do not own one)
666 coins for the first 66 addresses posted here (there'll be a real giveaway an hour after launch)
6666 for New icons and graphics (66666 if done in 6 or 66 minutes)

Give away is 66 coins for the first 100, then 6 for all subsequent addresses.  Tongue

If you want to restart it then you should probably ensure that you're connectible and post your own IP address as a node. Otherwise who are people going to be able to download the blocks off? To be honest though, you'd probably be much better off just mining a new genesis block and relaunching it from scratch.

Also maybe consider a new logo, as was pointed out previously everything in the logo symbolises 5, not 6. Pentagon, pentagram, 5 pointed star, 5 symbols in the spaces between the star. It really doesn't fit in with the 6 theme.
