Physical Bitcoin Gift / Cold storage?

     I went to that "Thing's Remembered" store in the mall, bought a water globe and took it apart and made my own BTC globe; the little center area has a custom laser engraving that they do.  It's a birthday gift I made for someone. Could also be used as a hard storage that sits on your mantle and make a good conversation starter?  The globe works perfect with the casascius coin because the water magnifies the coin perfectly. Pictures don't really do it justice as it came out pretty good (except a tiny air bubble at the top  )

But it is not a good idea for cold storage. Too big and you don't want to leave it were all the people can see and steal...
Is better just like a good conversation starter or gift (with low BTC value)
