What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

Unlike the majority of folks of this thread, I cannot agree that this would be a sound investment for the majority of elderly folks (at least in America). Why? RIsk, and the current state of the price. In a general sense, the older you get, the more risk adverse one should become in their investing strategy, as there is increasingly less income potential to replace the money should one make a bad investment. on the other hand, at these price levels no one can really call what is going to happen in the next few months. the price is so high it takes a significant investment to see meaningful gains. would you want your grandma to buy 10k worth of btc, to have it drop 30% over the next few months? that 3K loss could have been a month or so of living expenses, and time was lost as well.

bitcoin is for the younger investor, more welcoming of risk.

Cryptocurrency does not require your age for the innovation. They accommodate all people and every sector in the society because they believe every single piece is needed to achieve their goal.
Age is not a requisite to invest in crypto but at he same time a person that is too young is not going to have the economic means to invest and if you are too old you no longer have the time to hold for a long time, so there are still limitations to the age you need to have to invest effectively on crypto.

No, I don't think it is loo late for this kind of people to join the crypto community. Well, they might it interesting to join and learn new things despite their age. They might want to save some crypto investments for their children and their grandchildren. Some others are simply joining what's trending. And as of this time, cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, is really one of the most popular invention or technology that is growing.

Old age is not an obstacle, we can advise our retired relatives to invest in bitcoin. Explain to them, but do not force them to invest. Let those who decide for themselves whether to invest or enjoy their old age without interruption.

At the age of 75 I'd say do what you want !   Cheesy

It's a bit late to start worrying about saving a fortune for the future - live every day as if it's a gift and enjoy yourself.

Money or Bitcoin - you can't take them with you !!

Age is never a governing factor in start of an anything and there is very old saying in English too that "U are never too old to start anything. So u r never too late  atleast for BTC to invest in and even u need to depend on ur children also for your old age. So I think this could be the best age for minting BTC because this is the only age when you are free and give your best time to BTC. So do no look at the age factor and just simply invest into BTC to have luxure for rest of your life.

I think when you retire, it's a great time to consider investing in cryptocurrency. By the time you retire, you will definitely have a decent amount of money, and investing in crypto at that time I find it very reasonable. Investing in Bitcoin is not limited to age or time. As long as you have knowledge of the cryptocurrency market, you can invest in Bitcoin or altcoin at any time. Investing in cryptocurrency when you retire will be great because you have more time to focus on tracking and researching this market than others.  Wink

There is no such thing as too late to learn something new regardless of age. There's even a grandma in Japan that learned to use digital photomanipulation in her late 70s and her skills with it is quite phenomenal.

I guess it depends on how interested and invested they are, only then will it become easy to teach them about bitcoin. Patience is the key, and also they must know the risks behind it.

Investing in crypto doesnt have any age limit so there is nothing to worry about if you are old already and you want to invest in cryptos, as long as you have the money, the gadgets , internet connection and someone very close to you to guide you in investing if you are new in crypto then you'll not gonna have any problem investing in cryptocurrency. But if you don't have those ff that i listed there is no way for you to invest old or young.

In my opinion, not all old persons were not interested in technology. There are still some old people around us who are interested and capable to use gadgets and can go with the flow of technology. So, those elders have the chance to learn about bitcoin. I believe age is not a hindrance to a person who want to invest and earn money through bitcoin. It does not mean either that if your old, you do not have chance to earn money. Through bitcoin, it gives an equal opportunity to earn. That is the good thing about bitcoin there is no age, gender or status requirement.  Everybody who want to invest can invest.  To those people who are retired, living with pension, and looking for a place to invest for additional income, Bitcoin is one of the best place to invest to.  The only person they need is someone who can guide them and educate them about bitcoin.  Besides, they can ask help to their younger relative to assist and guide them to monitor they bitcoin investments.

It's not a matter of jumping on the crypto train, it's a matter of information and interest. if those elder persons are aware of this system then he or she can move on this platform.

At first, you have to gather a lot of information regarding this issue. cryptocurrency is not a game so that the first requirement is make understanding properly, then anyone can join in this platform. otherwise, there is a chance of getting loser by this system.

I don't think that we need to have any perfect age to start to work in bitcoin field Because we can do many works in bitcoin and altcoins market with our money and we don't need any type of hard work because all is the game of kind and understanding and experience that we will get day by day .
So here if the mentility of doing work at pc/laptop is enough for that retired person than surely he should do work in this field and also we can understand that he can invest easily in this Because in his life he saved much and also he has income source of pension that he can use for investment and can turn in multiple times profit .
So start now , and if that perosn is thinking that he can't handle trading and investment like then he should buy bitcoin and hold for 2-3 years to get better profit .

I think its not too late for the elder people to invest in cryptos, as we all know there are elder people who are still managing their businesses. So I guess if they are involve in cryptos its not too late for them it is just a matter of how they understand this crypto world and how to adopt this number crypto currency today. Not all of the elders are not interested with hi technologies there are some that are still adopting what is new in the society so therefore if they are exposed with technologies they are also capable in going with the flow in bitcoin. There no age limit in investing and joining bitcoin so no matter how are we as long as we are interested and we are happy with what we are doing so go for it.

Unlike the majority of folks of this thread, I cannot agree that this would be a sound investment for the majority of elderly folks (at least in America). Why? RIsk, and the current state of the price. bitcoin is for the younger investor, more welcoming of risk.
I agree with this, this is the most basic advice you are going to get in any investment book, when you are young you can invest in all sort of crazy investments because even if one of those investments fail you can always recover your money by working hard, but once you are old you need to play it safe or never retire.

If they still understand and has a knowledge about the uses of bitcoin and technology they are not late. It will also depends on the type of personality of a human, if someone old makes always wrong decision it is advisable to stop them quickly before it is getting late.

They can still invest with it, i mean there is no age limit on doing it, right? They can still use the money they earn, buy stuffs they like or save their money for their kids. It doesn't mean your purpose in life is limited even if you're old, there is always a thing to do in everydays life we live.
