• In the SPARTA network, transaction fees are the lowest possible. They do not depend on the transfer amount or the recipient’s location. Currently, the recommended transaction fee is 1 SPA. Unlike the fees for other cryptocurrencies, SPARTA fees are adjusted dynamically to remain as low as possible.
• The speed of transfers via SPARTA is one minute. To make a transfer, you need to fill in a simple form: Specify the recipient's address, the transfer amount and transaction fee in the relevant fields. Then click the “Send” button.   SPA transactions are carried out 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• The recipient will get the coins in a minute after the network gets one confirmation. It is recommended to wait 10 minutes as each transaction is deemed completely safe after 10 confirmations. Unlike banks, in the SPARTA network, the transferred amount is not subject to fees. The recipient gets the same amount the sender transfers.

Unlike the first sparta-related project. They only have 300 coins. And this one is in billion supply. I wonder how long it will survive here.

SPARTA's Technical Details
What is UTXO?
 
UTXO stands for unspent transaction “outputs” in the blockchain.
 
These include:

• Amounts sent to and residing in an account;
• Miner fees;
• Change sent back to the sender's account and making up the wallet balance.

These “outputs” are indivisible cryptocurrency amounts that are linked to a certain owner, recorded in the blockchain ledger and recognized as currency across the network. Each of them is made up of two components: amount and conditions to be met in order to spend this amount in the future.
 
Each time a user makes a transfer, the sent or received amount is recorded in the blockchain ledger as UTXO. It means that a user may have coins residing in various transactions and blocks. In this case the concept of wallet or account balance is not used — there exist only separate UTXO's linked to addresses of specific users. To calculate balance on a user account, the network always scans the blockchain ledger and retrieves all UTXO's owned by this user.

A story of a British man who threw away $18 million
 
Many people don't take some things seriously and don't believe in their potential which can become their biggest regret in the future. Millions of dollars is the price a British man had to pay for his negligence.
 
Back in 2009, a British IT worker, named James Howells, began mining bitcoin on his personal laptop. He successfully mined 7,500 coins but didn't give them much thought. In fact, he didn't believe in a high potential of bitcoin. What else could explain his unfortunate carelessness when he threw away a hard drive containing all the coins mined.
 
That's how it happened
 
Howells had to stop mining when his girlfriend complained about the noise from the laptop and the heat it was producing. He even couldn't imagine that he had already made a fortune by that time.
 
Had he known he could have lived his normal life, forgotten about the coins, and recalled that he owned them only when the value of bitcoin soared. Then he would have become a millionaire.  But once James spilled lemonade on the laptop and dismantled it for parts. Then, cleaning up the drawer, he put the hard drive into the bin.
 
When bitcoin's value skyrocketed to more than $8,000, he realized that had thrown away $18 million. To get access to his coins, Howells needed the cryptographic "private key" that was in the lost hard drive.  Without it, the money is lost forever.  Unfortunately, Howells didn't have a backup...
 
The only thing he could do was to dig up the landfill in order to find the lost hard drive.
 
He tried to get permission from the local council to search for the lost hard drive. Although the council didn't allow it, Howells didn't lose hope. Since 2017 he together with a group of diggers have been trying to find his lost fortune. He has also set up a Bitcoin wallet for donations aimed at recovering the hard drive. As you may guess, the search has failed.
 
All we can do is to wish James Howells good luck and strongly recommend you to back up your wallet data so that you accidentally wouldn't lose access to your wallet forever.

Why SPARTA is an eco-friendly cryptocurrency

Unlike Bitcoin, which uses the Proof-of-Work (PoW) concept, SPARTA is based on Proof-of-Stake (PoS). Under the PoW concept, mining requires huge electricity consumption. With SPARTA, no energy is wasted so it can be called an environmentally friendly cryptocurrency.

Examples of bitcoin energy consumption:

• Back in 2013, the entire bitcoin network was roughly 256 times faster than all the top 500 supercomputers around the globe combined.
• As of 2015, even if all miners used the most modern and energy efficient hardware-ASIC, the combined electricity consumption was 160 megawatts (1.46 terawatt-hours per year).
• In 2017, it was estimated that a single Bitcoin transaction required163 kilowatt hours (KWh) of electricity. That is enough to power the average 3-member household for about 5-6 days. Bitcoin and Ethereum mining taken together consume more power than countries like Syria, Cyprus or Cambodia.

We should remember that resources are not unlimited. Research shows that mining cryptocurrencies with PoW method can cause blackouts as the existing power stations can't cope with ever-increasing load. In theory, it could lead to global energy crisis.

Proof-of-Stake mining is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than Proof-of-Work.

PoS-mining (forging) is not based on computing power, but on the user account balance. To support the SPARTA network, a person needs to hold a certain amount of SPA. PoS-mining does not require supercomputers and huge electricity costs.

Proof-of-Stake can be compared to Greenpeace, an international organization confronting environmental abuse and saving natural resources. Therefore, Proof-of-Stake can be called a "green" method.

Note:

• Closing this tab will not shut down the app. In other words, even if you close the tab in your browser, forging will be carried on in the background. However, the computer must remain powered.
• Clicking the "Shutdown Node" button will completely shut down the app (shut down the process on the computer).

How to start forging:
 
1. Create a SPARTA wallet and add SPA tokens to your account. A minimum of 888 tokens are required to start forging.  The more tokens you have, the more chances you have to create blocks and receive rewards.

• If you have between 888 and 999,999 SPA (inclusive) in an account, you receive only the sum of the transaction fees.
• If you have 1,000,000 SPA or more in an account, you are also awarded newly created SPA tokens.

2. Complete an outbound transfer. This is necessary to display your public key in the SPARTA network. You can only begin forging after this transaction has received at least 1440 confirmations.
 
3. Run a special application for forging on your computer. After the application is started, it automatically begins supporting the SPARTA network. When a block is created, you receive a reward.

• If the miner has 1,000,000 SPA or more in an account, he or she is also awarded newly created SPA tokens.
