Guys, I have some news There is a chance Russia will be open for BTC and other cryptocurrencies. The main Russian government bank "Sberbank" will create crypto found to support new projects. I think this is a good sign How could somebody trust anything that comes from Russia and fin this case Sberbank Let me give you a few examples of the total mess: Sberbank CEO Herman Gref has “agreed” on the development of a Russian national cryptocurrency with the country’s central bank. Sberbank is Russia’s major state-controlled bank. In unofficial reports from local news aggregators, the so-called “Russian Bitcoin” will use Sberbank as its base and will be “the only cryptocurrency freely available for sale and purchase” in the country. “All other [cryptocurrencies] will only be available via exchanges or trading platforms After that we have Just recently, a top executive of Sberbank (Chief Technology Officer Pavel Khodalev) attended the International Blockchain Week in China. For Sberbank’s CTO, Blockchain is a transformation that will blaze a trail for the whole world. Although the attitude in Russia about Bitcoin has not been positive, Sberbank continuously gets involved in programs to introduce a local Blockchain consortium. The bank is working hard to change inaccurate impressions regarding the platform even as the bureaucracy is quite impervious to such technologies because of long periods of tumultuous reforms. The possibility of creating a crypto fund is considered on the basis of the Swiss subsidiary of the Savings Bank - Sberbank (Switzerland) AG. "We are experimenting with blocking, and blocking is not only bitcoin, it's different stories. We have different ideas about creating a crypto fund, but everything is not easy. He [bitcoiyn] grows at such a rate, and mining bitcoin rather limited. As soon as the problem with mining is resolved, it will be visible there, "he said, commenting on the interest of Sberbank's" daughter "in Switzerland to the blockade and the crypto currency. Every news we hear from Russia is about establishing a new blockchain and a new state owned and control coin. There is no way they are going to accept something they can't control, they will either put some laws and methods in place to avoid capital outflow or they will just do nothing about legalization.

We all know that cryptocurrency and Russia have contradictory relationships. Russia seeking for the way how to regulate cryptocurrency, for example, some of Russians officials claim that bitcoin and cryptocurrency should be considered as "goods" and not a "currency". Also, they banned well known Russian media about cryptocurrency. They still don't want to legalize Bitcoin explaining that this currency is used for money-laundering and illegal business. On the other hand, there are a lot ICO campaigns in Russia. Almost every week the crypto and blockchain events are organized. And Russian crypto community is quite big. There is project I also represent. So that is why it is very important for me. Hi, What you descried here is quite logical in fact. The bitcoin community is large in Russia... and supposedly no member of the government or director of any powerful institution is part of it. So it is a "soft" war beteween the people, simple individuals, and the haves. I guess that one day, countries will no longer be able to ignore bitcoin. That is why many governments are trying to design legislation about crypto. However, for them, the bitcoin (and the other alt coins) is a threat. It cannot be manipulated at will, the blockchain cannot be corrupted. I guess this is quite hard to handle for them, because they often use those tools. Consequently: no, I don't think any government is ready to officially legalize bitcoin. But if the community grows enough and the use of bitcoin get spread... Maybe we stand a chance!

But mining crypto society and is very developed. Big bisnesess are becoming engaged in blockchain and mining.Sberbank and AlfaBank had transactions via their blockchain protocols, it means a lot. Many big and high-potential ICOs are held in Russia as well. Therefore, many interesting ICOs such as KickCity or others emerge in Russia.

If i will be asked if it will be better if it is legalized in your place, i would say it is better to remain like that, as it is today. Not legal but not banned. The moment the government legalize it, there will come problems for users. Of course the government will not allow legalizing it with out taking part in it. In tax and control. Better be like that in my opinion.

The point is that Bitcoin IS a good and not a currency. Facts tell us that people buy it to store it and to either sell it higher or to buy just other cryptos. Bitcoin is barely used for purchasing objects out of cryptoland.

Till now the Russian government is not willing to legalize bitcoin or cryptocurrencies. Eventhough crypto is very popular in Russia. But you never know what Putin and his government really think. Today they want to ban all cryptocurrencies and tomorrow it might be totally different. But if they do legalize and accept cryptocurrencies, then that would be huge.

I know that Russia is one of the few countries that have an open policy towards cryptocurrency. You can recall Russia's support for ETH. Although Russia does not publicly support bitcoins, Russia does not prohibit it, which is a pretty good thing for the Putin government.

Russia disgusts me. Any country with human rights laws as ancient as theirs needs serious restructuring. I am sickened by Russia’s dictatorship and lack of social progress. Just like China, Russia has an iron fist rule on its people and if anything I could see Russia’s government creating their own cryptocurrency (likely the only to be legal).

Russia has never been friendly to bitcoin They had tried their best to ban bitcoin but they could not.Even the russian president putin went to the extent of terming bitcoin as a pyramid scheme. But totally in contrast to their stand against bitcoin, they have not yet banned any ICOs and also we could see large number of russian companies taking part in ICOs actively.

Do really know what are you saying here? Russia with Putin at the helm will ban everything that can disrupt their government, including bitcoin and crypto. That's why they have been contracting as far as their official statement. You can't find anything substantially, they will say they will support this and that, which is total bullshit. How about the bitcoin mining farm? Anyone heard about it lately? They have been reports that they will put up one, but where is it? They're just giving everyone a false hope. And that's why they created their own coin, cryptorubble because they are not going to accept any crypto except their government-backed coin.
