This seems like an interesting project... but... 550 million is a crap-ton of coins. Although "poly" is Greek for "many" anyhow so perhaps the naming is apt.
I haven't read through this thread yet--presumably someone has asked (or it has been addressed) how long it will take before there is a multitude of this coin sloshing around(?).

looks like mining is already Pointless 69,985.68 MH/s Nethash. A GPU Rig yield around 150 MH with CCminer.
