Canary... why not just set up a reseller agreement with friedcat?  I imagine you would get a little bit more of the action that way... and you seem to be able to handle this well.

Or in other words... time for a new day job!
if friedcat decides that they want to deal with 1 re-seller (i.e. exclusivity) only then I would want a chance/shot at becoming that re-seller with ASICMiner/friedcat.

however, I do believe in competition and would rather not see friedcat/ASICMiner lock others out.

so, only if they decide that they WANT 1  person to deal with, than I want a shot at that.
makes sense?

I don't want there to be only 1 and a monopoly

but if there is only 1 and a monopoly, I want to be that 1 Smiley

Not such a bad thing to have a seemingly ethical person as the monopoly if there must be a monopoly d:
I don't want to see a monopoly. even though it would be temporary anyway... seems like other suppliers will begin to have their product available in a few months..

not my choice in this matter...  just expressing my views.  There was an attempt by someone on these boards, so that attempt got me thinking about this.
ASICMiner/friedcat seems to have created exclusives in other parts of the world, so my comment is based on what we've seen so far.

What kind of jerk asks members of the public to correspond directly with the manufacturer?

If he manages to swindle an exclusive USA distributorship (doubtful), then you can bet a new thread attn: friedcat will be started to lay out reasons why I won't deal with him, or buy any more hardware or shares.

disclaimer:  I'm not currently a shareholder, but am closely considering it.

Not such a bad thing to have a seemingly ethical person as the monopoly if there must be a monopoly d:

that's damn right

it's just splitting the work. if canary does a better job at distributing and selling to individuals than friedcat can or could pay someone for, that's the best way to do it.

I'd rather prefer no monopolies at all.

I think Im in for 7. If I can replace all my 5850s I have running with these and endup at about the same hashrate, it will be easier to swallow the low chance of a ROI. Plus they are the only ASIC i'll own.

I'll send payment when I get home.

This is first time ordering through you, you seem to have proven to be the one to go through. How long does it tupically take once you send the money out to receive the bulk order and start shipping them locally?
