Precisely, opo. Dahil sa ating sariling coins, it indicates the status of our economy as well as how the society is doing financially.

I saw a thread earlier asking about Philippine based or targeted coins, and there have been a few attempts at a country coin. Is this really something that we are interested in?

The purposes for others was for remittances, for general investing, for bills payments and banking, for OFWs, for rewards, for points.

Would we like something similar to Bitcoin ATMs where you can buy and sell on a machine?

Do we want a free airdrop? Or an ICO? Or a mixture of both? (Bounties of course will be available.)

Discuss.
Yes, of course coins is important it is our money which we use everyday. This is the only one that we can get our necessities everyday without this we can't afford them all. We must know every value of coins.

Magandang idea, pero nagawa na 'to dati, PSB.
Yun nga lang hindi nag-click dahil wala gaanong support from the community.
Pero kailangan ba talaga na COIN?
How about a Token?
Peso Token?
This way no need to focus enough effort on developing it since stable na naman ang Ethereum Network.
Focus na lang sa mga services na pwedeng paggagamitan nito, partnership with the local businesses/remittance centers.
Also, it should be a community driven coin/token, yung tipong ang community mismo ang masusunod on implementing future updates.

Airdrops and Bounties can also be done, it'll help promote and spread the word about the supposed coin/token much quicker. Smiley

Actually, magandang timing sa pag-implement nito would be next year Q1 - Q2 2018 since there's currently a Pinoy ICO for a Pinoy Cryptocurrency Exchange project that would end it's ICO around that time of the year. Grin

Ahhh. I beg to disagree about the stability of the Ethereum network.

It's not immutable, the main dev can fork it at will, it gets congested during massive ICOs that depend on it, and a bunch of other reasons that are probably more political than technical.

The ICO itself could run on ETH and issue tokens that will be redeemable or swappable for the real coin. (Real as in, it's an altcoin with it's own blockchain.)

PSB could have actually worked were it not for some bad business decisions by the team or the founders. Ako yung escrow ng PSB ICO. It lost support from the community for many reasons, hindi ko na uulitin lahat, pero hindi na rin ito mauulit sa mga bagong coin.

Talagang next year na if ever, at the earliest, not because meron kayong other ICO, pero kasi, basta next year na. Bakasyon muna, pasko muna, ... all brain storming naman.

Yung other dev or altcoin is TAG, na meron din full time staff, tapos yung founder, si Mark, mayaman na at meron na rin ibang businesses. Pero iba nga ang focus nya, more on rewards. Meron din sya ibang project na related sa business nya, something about multi-chain or proof core, nag post na rin sya dito. Na meet ko na nga sya before (he lives in Makati.)

Anyway, I've seen several attempts at coins, I don't think tokens are the answer and it has to be a real coin. The ICO will help jump start it, pay for promotions and bounties, have giveaways (but not here on bitcointalk kasi bawal, baka may sariling website mismo, and to prevent fake accounts meron din KYC/AML.)

The coin itself will have some sort of supply generation or inflation, very low, so all participants can get at least a positive ROI, then .... bahala na si batman after that.

I'll keep a small percentage for myself, give everything else away, and hope it goes to a hundred million dollars, (or 5 billion pesos) in a few years, widely used nationwide and worldwide. That's the hope and the goal.

Okey sir, thanks for the enlightenment Grin

Cheesy

The ICO itself could run on ETH and issue tokens that will be redeemable or swappable for the real coin. (Real as in, it's an altcoin with it's own blockchain.)

I agree with this for the time being if ever the new coin will have its own ICO/ITO. Mas mapapadali at walang pressure kung convertible ung ERC20 token to the real coin.

Dapat pwedeng i-mine ung coin para maganda ang development at the same time hindi siya fully centralized. Decentralization could give an assurance to the coin holders.

I think this is a very good idea. We could really promote a coin na pwede rin gamitin worldwide. And since malakas naman tourism sa atin, pwede natin i-take advantage yung coin for that. We could convince tourist spots/destinations to accept the coin in addition to peso. Im sure it would be a big help to the country pa, promote tourism and promote the coin/token. And with that, may assurance tayo na magsirculate talaga yung token at hindi lang ida-dump pagkatapos makuha. Anyway its just my opinion, so I dont think bebenta ba talaga sa iba.

Hindi ganun kaeffective kung POW ang paraan ng paggenerate/confirm ng new blocks kasi mahal ang kuryente sa Pinas at for sure ibang country/countries ang makikinabang. I suggest na through Masternodes dapat kasi VPS lang ang kailangan at bigyan mo lang ang mga Pilipino ng instruction sa pagsesetup ng kanilang masternode, for sure madaming magsesetup ng sarili nilang masternode

Oo magandang magkameron ng other coin than bitcoin na pwede natin magamit pang cas in and cash out pero make it competetive to other altcoin in the block market like ethereum at dapat mag kameron ng malaking mining site of even then application na pwede mag mine and individuals para madami ang supplies ng coin at hindi bigla ang pag angat ng value.
