There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

We've used ICO before on PSB, unfortunately there is not a lot of interest in people, I think it just knocked becau...
We'll see about that. Ako nga nag escrow ng ICO ng PSB dati. If there is not enough interest within a reasonable timeframe, of course everyone who donated or contributed will get back what they put in.

I'm already imagining a roadmap that goes about 3 years ... it will need funds to start, and based on its own growth it can continue to develop, adopting ideas from other coins (there's literally over a thousand alts, some have bad ideas, some have good ideas.)

I saw a thread earlier asking about Philippine based or targeted coins, and there have been a few attempts at a country coin. Is this really something that we are interested in?

The purposes for others was for remittances, for general investing, for bills payments and banking, for OFWs, for rewards, for points.

Would we like something similar to Bitcoin ATMs where you can buy and sell on a machine?

Do we want a free airdrop? Or an ICO? Or a mixture of both? (Bounties of course will be available.)

Discuss.

Ako man guilty dyan. Primary hindrance talaga is lack of investors. But masimulan lng yan paired with a good marketing scheme, aalagwa yan sa tingin ko. And with it, pwedeng gumawa na rin ng exchange where the coin is the base pair for all cryptocurrencies available.

Ang kailangan talaga sa bansa is cryptocurrency literaxy. Aware na ang mga tao pero, some people narket crypto as a scam. Just like yung kay Nyeeeam Xian Gaza. Pero what people are thinking dahil sa mali nyang pagdeliver ng message ay BTC is a scam. Kaya naiinis ako sa kanya, even my workmates asked me about his video. And sabi ko there are orgs that’s using btc as a front pero scam pala and they should read.

Well, I don’t know how true din story nya kasi sikat syang scammer.

Going back to the topic, I agree na kailangan may katapat si CoinsPH para bumaba ang fees nila. Pero devs should take into consideration what is the purpose of the coin/token, kailangan sustainable as a business and to the community sya.

Lastly, kailangan talaga ng information drive para maliterate mga pinoy how crypto works after that everything will follow.

Taking advantage of those who are easily swayed sa fad and hype; mainly because of their financial illiteracy. I just hope that the coin that will be created has one of its main purpose being anti-scam apart from the other usuals like remmitance. I don't know how it will be done but i think crypto is the closest thing we have to achieve it.

I saw a thread earlier asking about Philippine based or targeted coins, and there have been a few attempts at a country coin. Is this really something that we are interested in?

If my memory serves me right, back in late 2015 or early 2016 there were some coins that is being develop by a few Filipino for our country (i think its XEV) and also there was a pinoy who was part of Lisk team and was also developing a coin back then (forgot the name).

Hindi naman pumatok yung coin kasi there were less "actual" pinoy who are interested in helping spread the word about that coin (puro kasi alt kaya yung usapan walang napuntahan at nakatutok lahat sa signature campaign, parehas parin naman ng sitwasyon yung dati at ngayon dito sa forum), back then only a few pinoy know what bitcoin is and what other crypto currency are for.

Would we like something similar to Bitcoin ATMs where you can buy and sell on a machine?

The idea is great but you will need vast amount of resource and a really good promotional platform to spread the word to the entire country on what your coin is all about.

Do we want a free airdrop? Or an ICO? Or a mixture of both? (Bounties of course will be available.)

I dont mind as long as the project will have a success, but pure airdrop is a no no, it will only result to become a shit coin like the ones who uses referral to gain coin (may na alala uli ako na coin, VAL ba yun? yung nakukuha lang sa referral sa FB dati) anyways, ICO would be great, as it will be more believable and would gain more trust in the potential investor to come than doing airdrop.

But i still think that the majority of the Fililipinos are still not yet ready to embrace the technology, the path the you will be taking will surely be hard and harsh (baka masayang lang oras at pagod mo sa wala, alam mo naman tayong mga pinoy pag dating sa pera mahipit tayo at kung walang kasiguraduhan na babalik yung puhunan natin eh di tayo papasok sa mga ganung bagay)

Anyways, will be looking forward till the day that you decided to create one for the country, the support will come gradually from fellow citizen that would really like to make that coin go "to the moon".

Having our own coin will definitely a long process. Bitcoin nga lang hindi matanggap tanggap ng iba having our own coin pa? When millions of Filipinos adopt the culture of bitcoin and the government will not against it possible to crate our own coin.

I totally agree with the idea.

If ever there will be one, I will gladly support it. We just need to make is better to be understood lalo na karamihan sa atin dito ay puro airdrops and bounty lang (at isa ako dun). I just barely started into cryptocurrency pero unti-unti ko na rin natutunan yung value nya and how it can help us.

Siguro if magkakaroon tayo ng sariling coin, we should not expect much from foreign to invest but we must be resilient and stick to the process.

ICO is better.
There are ofw's who use bitcoin/digital wallet as remittances kung magkakaroon tayo ng sariling atin mas maganda at suportahan na lng natin malaking tulong din ito sa ating ekonomiya at sa maraming kababayan natin na nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa dahil hassle free sa kanila just continue to educate lng po sa mga kababayan natin na hindi familiar sa crypto.
