There will always be a reason as to why they sell their bitcoins. Following what is happening to bitcoins value today, some were selling theirs because they panic. They fear that they will lose more if they don't sell straightaway. Some sell when the value suddenly surge to the moon, whooping profit of course. In others, they simply need the money.

People sell bitcoins at some point because they need to use its value.....so they sell it and then use physical money to pay bills that keep coming month after month or simply buy presents (like it was a month ago for Christmas Holidays). Well for me i recognized that people would sell if money needs or maybe the value of the token they hold is enough for their speculations. And others would sell for the sake of recieving some so that they have enough savings to buy other coins that they will assure for more income among others.

It really depends if you are an investor or a trader. Investor mainly hold Bitcoin as long as they can, or at least if they reach their target price. They usually hold it for years and let it appreciate overtime. They tend to be calm even it dips or the market corrects. They see this as an opportunity to add more to their holdings. On the other hand, traders have different approach to this. Some are day trading which usually hold within a day and sell it for a profit. This is commonly called as scalping. Others are for short or mid term. Usually they hold it for days to weeks or even months. They have a setup for this kind of trading and let the market do the work. As you can see there are many reasons for people to sell their Bitcoins. As they always says, "Plan your trade, trade your plan"

For me there are two main reason why people sell their bitcoin. The first one is that they afraid of lossing to much in thier investment because of rising and falling value of bitcoin. And the second reason is that they can get profit if they sell their bitcoin or just they badly need a money  that is why they sell their bitcoin. That's my thought.

Not all the seller gains a highprofit some are sell it because they dont want they money got - profit and also not just they sell it because of that. some people make them self accept what happen like in news for example somebody said about bitcoin negative and it will effect the bitcoin price then they will think they must sell it cause they money can get lost or the cant use it on what they needed in their life.
