For goodness sake why can't people stop the bickering between Bitcoin and Ethereum. Neither extremes are good. Both will prosper in synergy. Bitcoin is the internet of money while Ethereum will tokenize everything. The future will be awesome. We should join forces and oppose Ripple instead. Banks got us into this mess, and juvenile "my blockchain is better than yours" bullshit is exactly what they want; divide and conquer. Let's rise above.

Both currencies are very good. I think that it has sense to choose any other currency for holding too. Waves or Ripple are good examples on my mind. Choose them. I am sure it will be nice experience.

It would not be a good idea to put your investment into Ethereum if you are investing in the long term because with the trend that Ehtereum is going it is facing backlash from many of the world's leading political powers these issues are not resolved instantaneously especially when there is a bigger player in the market having the same problems.

If I have the resources, I would buy both coins. But it is very unfortunate that what I have is extremely few.
Going back to the question which to buy between eth and bitcoin, maybe I would buy eth. Eth is relatively stable in comparison, however, that may imply that gains would be definitely low. However, that may be, it still growing no matter how slow.

Both bitcoin and ethereum is good to hold and invest.  Because this two is same potential coin and have future. But in bitcoin you can gain OKnly some profit because the price is very high compared to ethereum is more cheaper than bitcoin si you can make more profit from ethereum because once the price increase very high and it easy double ,triple and so forth the price compared to bitcoin.

My portfail holds now are 20% Bitcoin Cash, 45% Monero, 10% NXT and ARDR, 5% Ether and EtherClassic, 5% Bitcoin and another 15% in various Alternative coins.

For me i will choose both bitcoin and ethereum because as we can see bitcoin is the main and most known coin because it basically started cryptocurrency while ethereum stays second to bitcoin because most of the icos are launched under the eth platform. May be the bitcoin now is on its lower price, we can still hodl it and wait until when it will increase again and ethereum as well.

My choice is the Ethereum. Bitcoin is a coin that has a very expensive transaction fee. And it's very slow. The ethereum is much better than bitcoin.
