This is a very open ended question. AMD is good for some coins, Nvidia good for others Will the PC only be used for mining? Vega or 1070ti...take ur pick

  • Start with one Platinum Power rated PSU or higher! Don't skimp here because, you are going to use a lot of power, and u want to use the least amount as possible
  • Get ASrock 13 GPU board or Biostar 12GPU (my preference, but no m.2  Angry )
  • Get cheap CPU, celeron or Pentium, u only need a simple processor, as it is mostly idle. If you plan to use the PC for other stuff, then get a beefier one, but if solely for mining, go cheap
  • 1 stick of 4GB DDR4 ram
  • 60GB SSD

You won't be able to build a rig with a lot more than one or two GPUs if you have to buy all components!
For example:
Motherboard: 80$ (ASRock H81 Pro BTC R2.0)
CPU: 70$ (Intel Celeron G1840)
RAM: 60$ (Corsair Vengeance 8GB )
SSD: 60$
PSU: 160$
Risers: 50$
(Frame: ~50$ if you build it yourself)
_________________________
530$

With the remaining 370$ you can buy gpus like (2 x gtx 1060) or (1 x gtx 1070)!

have fun building  Grin

I would suggest you, that you build yourself a nice gaming computer with a nice GPU and there you should start mining for a while, only to see if this is for you or not..
I know some of my friends, who are mining with 1 GPU... people like that are only skyrocketing the difficulty and hashrate with no effect for them..
For example: If you are walking arround your home town, there is more possibility that you will find 1$ laying on the floor, than getting 1+$ with your 1 gpu with all expenses.

Just my opinion... Go big or go home.  Smiley
No offense

Before I list out what I'd recommend let me say this, treat that $900 like you are spending it on a hobby.  Don't expect to get rich from it and enjoy the ride.  That will make your experience a lot more fun.

For your first rig I'd suggest the build below.  This is strictly based on what is on sale at Microcenter right now so you can spend most of your money on GPUs.

CPU -- http://www.microcenter.com/product/486115/FX_8320E_Black_Edition_Vishera_32_GHz_8_Core_AM3_Boxed_Processor -- $80 with a $40 rebate and save $30 when bundled with a motherboard.
Mobo -- http://www.microcenter.com/product/484530/GA-970A-DS3P_FX_AM3_ATX_AMD_Motherboard -- $70-$30 for bundling with CPU.  Could support 5 GPUs later
RAM -- http://www.microcenter.com/product/460070/4GB_DDR3-1866_PC3-14900_CL13_Single_Channel_Desktop_Memory_Module -- $40
PSU -- http://www.microcenter.com/product/467824/750_BQ_750_Watt_80_Plus_Bronze_Semi-Modular_ATX_Power_Supply  -- $80, $65 after rebate.  This will be one of the first parts to replace once you are making your money back.  This is just a decent brand power supply to get started with.  Should at least support 3 GPUs.
Storage -- http://www.microcenter.com/product/485586/32GB_SuperSpeed_USB_30_Flash_Drive -- $11 flash drive to put your OS on.  I'm a big fan of simple mining OS, it's $2/month and offers a free trial of 7 or 14 days I think.

This should leave you with around $650 for GPUs.  I'd recomend throwing in a few more bucks and buying 3 of these --  http://www.microcenter.com/product/478365/Radeon_RX_570_ARMOR_Overclocked_4GB_GDDR5_Video_Card  --

I'm not sure about the 1070ti as the card is new and I haven't really seen any info about them here, but the best bang for your buck is going to be the 1060s and 1070s. If you're looking for an estimation of how much you can make, NiceHash's calculator is pretty accurate and shows real-time estimates of mining profitability. It's not really worth buying the 1050tis imo, better to stick to two 1060s.

I can't trust nicehash calculator its not accurate and i searched that they are scam..

I was looking experienced people here that actually mine directly without using any third party like nicehash software.. Because i heard that they are giving fake hash power..
If you know the actual mined coin daily you know how much you can earn daily. or weekly. I was confused of choosing GPU if i directly buy gtx 1080 ti instead or 1060/1070.

Do you think AMD GPU much better than Nvidia GTX series?

Yes AMD radeon cards much preferable than nividia cards. If cost affordability is good with the Nvidia and AMD will costs more value as a investment. With this fund you can start mine with the maximum of 3 Nvidia 1070i cards.
This is moderate range in price wise and production of hash rate as well.
I am sure will not afford for ASIC with this cost.

3 Nvidia 1070Ti cards are you sure? 3 GPU includes riser mobo, cards and ssd this budget is enough for  3 gtx 1070ti?

Or only for GPU.. I was still confuse what is the good choice to buy.. i just wanted to make sure that i'm not lose in the future if i build my own rig..

One 1070 ti is ~ $450. So 3 of them is $1350. If your budget is $900 for everything, then it's obviously out of your reach.

Create a spreadsheet. Write down all the GPUs you have available for you with prices and core counts/hashrates. Then do simple math, calculate $/core ratios, $/hash, $/watt, hash/watt etc. Think. Then think some more. Research possible ways of connecting those GPUs, how many slots you'll need, what kinds of motherboards will be enough etc. Think some more again. Then come to the forum and ask questions.

OP,

A couple of suggestions:

1)One thing you may want to consider is the computer goods market on this forum. Frequently people are sometimes flushing out their older but just as capable alt coin rigs/components.

2) You may also want to wait until after Xmas with the idea that the new stuff might be on sale.

I started my journey with just one card, I bought gtx 1080ti, 4 months ago. Mining with my gaming computer, now I have a rig of 1080ti, 1080, 3x1060. Invest in power can be gradual, no need to rush and trying to buy cheap crap. Buy first one powerful GPU like 1080 or 1070.

He actually doesn't even need a frame for just 2 GPUs. It would make the handling easier, but really not necessary. Come to think of it, better motherboards usually have two full-size pci-e x16 slots, so don't even need the risers.
