Hi, been thinking about mining for a long time now, but I am struggling to set up properly, and forgive me if this is in the wrong thread on the forum  Roll Eyes

I have registered on mining.bitcoin.cz, set up my worker etc

When I try and mine, the message at the bottom of the guiminer say's

Quote
Username must be in format <login>.<worker_id>

I don't understand, it is exactly how I have it set up in my account page on the slush site, under 'worker'

Can anyone advise more where I should be looking for the mistake?

Thanks in advance

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Add a dot followed by a worker ID (something to identify this particular installation). Like '.machine1' or something.

If your login name at bitcoin.cz is sgtmunky and you registered a worker called worker1 then the username for your miner is sgtmunky.worker1.

Some that I've been using:
bitcoin.cz
deepbit.net
bitcoins.lc
They all are easy, but some basic logic skills are required. bitcoins.lc doesn't take a fee.

Maybe you have a problem with hardware or drivers.
