Announcing Tradecoin (TDC)

I know that there has been a huge flood of copy and paste litecoin (and other) clones recently and that their sole function has been to pump and dump and haven't really been unique in any way. I would not like TradeCoin to be like those other coins and I have endeavoured to do so not so much in the programming, but in the release and real-world use. So here are the specs for my new coin, TradeCoin:

• 147,000,000 total coins (bitcoin times 7)
• 5 second block time
• 147,000,000 block reward, but only for the first block. Every block thereafter has a reward of 0
• scrypt algorithm
• Fist fully mined cryptocurrency in existence

Now please give me a chance to explain myself:
Yes I know that means the first block is the only one that will yield coins and I know that a 5 second block time can have issues. However, please allow me to present the unique aspects and ideas of and behind this coin; please hear me out before posting derogatory comments:

I will be mining all of the coins that will ever exist before I release it. I intend to release it on June 26th at 8:00 AM EST, and this thread is detailing its release. This coin will never really be mined, not like traditional coins are - hence the name TradeCoin. Therefore, the 5 second block time should not pose a problem and it should only serve to make transaction times as minimal as possible (because orphans will not exist). This coin will only be traded, either for free on giveaways, purchased from a coin holder, or purchased on an exchange. I believe this type of release has several advantages, the first of which being that the early adopters do not have some huge advantage and the second of which is that big time miners or botnets do not have an advantage and cannot unjustly acquire coins. In adidition, it does not require a huge, multi-thousand dollar investment in a mining rig to mine coins.
The 147,000,000 coins I currently own will be used in the following manner (provided they still exist due to giveaways as that is a variable amount) (Pease PM when criteria for bounty has been met):

• 56,000,000 for bounties
• • 10,000,000 for the first exchange to support it
  • 10,000,000 for the second exchange to support it
  • 10,000,000 for the third exchange to support it
  • 5,000,000 for the first gambling site to support it
  • 5,000,000 for the second gambling site to support it
  • 1,000,000 for the first faucet site to accept it (paid but could be better. I will pay more for more faucet sites. Gives 1k per person)
  • 12,000,000 for the first merchant site to accept it
  • 1,000,000 x 3 for three people to mine it (with any computer, just to keep it alive - but you must mine permanently as long as the coin is alive. I will pay 50-100k per month depending on what you will use to mine it and it should equal one million eventually)
• 80,000,000 for giveaways (80,000x1000)
• 11,000,000 for random things and I'd like to make a small profit

not getting reward on blocks mined does not mean you are protected from 51% attacks ...

51% attacks are mostly used to double spend coins once you own some.

As your coin will probably not atttract a lot of hashing power, it will therefore be even easier to 51% ...

You should go for proof of stake for this kind of concept.

I actually did: my logic was that 8 million was enough for cryptsy to support it and then rewards of 10 and 12 million would entice vicurex and bter, respectfully.

The point of this coin is to act as an experiment to see what will happen to ltc when all coins have been created and because I thought it would be an interesting experiment. With regard to the risk, like most alts (and btc itself), price is driven purely by speculation so that argument can be made for most any coin. I don't believe there are any "risk free" coins (if there are then I want some )

I will pay out the bounties if someone pms me saying that they have any computer (could be an i5 for all I care) and they would like to mine tdc for at least a month or two. If they can only give a smaller portion of time, then I will give part of the million bounty. Do you have a better suggestion (I'd appreciate it)? Per day perhaps?

Last but not least, you need to be sure a minimum of hashing power is kept dedicated ... You may have to "rent" some, paying for it each day or week with enough guarantees for a long period help publicly ...

Ok, I will probably update the bounties to include a set amount for a set number of hashes per day (renting it). I may have to push the release back a couple of days in order to incorporate proof of stake to gays against 51% attacks. As for the redistribution part, I'll try to figure that out.

You might consider taking out proof of work entirely if you can't mine coins anyway.  Have it be POS only.  You'd probably have to take out the 30 day waiting period before you can mint POS blocks.  Maybe make a day or an hour waiting period.

I disagree about making it 0%.  If people don't have a incentive to mint, they won't do it.

but with other altcoins we can mine and catch a amount of coins, if whatever altcoin we choose to mine never get a price we just lost time, also we can traduce this time to money but we dont invest directly an amount of money on a coin, so the risk is too low in comparission of the coin you propouse (i know my enclish suck)

Granted it moves to a specially tuned PoS, and some other points are also better tuned, it actually is a nice experiment ...

In PoW only coins (bitcoin, litecoin, etc.), we are essentially wasting increasing amount of energy and money to buy more and more tickets and hoping to win the worlwide (block) lottery.

In PoW+PoS coins (PPC, NVC, etc.), the PoW is used to dispatch an initial amount of coins. This distribution should be as fair as possible. Then PoW is gradually shut down and PoS keeps the network alive.

This proposition is basically to skip the initial PoW dispatching and use instead a manual dispatch ... A little time consuming, but not really less fair than mining anyway, and much more energy efficient.
Of course, having the people trust the manual dispatch process may be tricky ^^

Also, this is kind of similar to the way ripple are dispatch, isn't it ?

With this coin, there will be little to no miner fee's in the block reward due to small amounts of transactions, most users having only 1000 coins in a giveaway and then the OP with 11 million coins.

I cannot imagine a coin taking off when right from the start you have and hold so many coins, that is a massive leap of faith for miners and traders.

I have an idea, when released why don't you start up a P2Pool and every miner can join that and then you can "donate" a massive chunk of that premine to the miners, say, 7 times, once everyday for a week as a lucky gift and leave yourself with 100,000 or something more realistic than 11 million.

This would get the hashrate up, as the miners will be waiting for a payout, there will be more coin out there to be traded with and create transaction fee's.

Also changing the client so it is stuck or forced to send a transaction fee is a must with this release.

1. it is centralized.  one central "bank" of coins if you will will control how they are distributed.
2. no miners, no network, no transactions are processed except for the developer who is the same as the "bank" more centralization
3.  centralization means easier for governments to shut it down, regulate it because there is a country of origin.

Also, this is kind of similar to the way ripple are dispatch, isn't it ?

I then mined that block and got the fee back.  I really think that for any coin that sees widespread use, the transaction fees could easily support the coin when the block reward hits zero.

I've read on here there's guys who specialize in helping people take their coin live.  Does anybody have any idea how to find these people?

I have over 100 domain names locked up for various coins but I don't have much money at all and I can't program.  I really wanna launch a coin with a large following to see how that works since until now nobody has done that which is very odd.

I have coin names such as CatholicCoin, 007Coin, WolfCoin, UnicornCoin, MormonCoin, 21Coin, 69Coin (LOL, it was just too easy), 1StopCryptoShop, OneStopCryptoShop, ScientologyCoin, BlackJackCoin, FutbolCoin, SoccerCoin, BasketballCoin, GermanyCoin, ItalyCoin, RomaniaCoin, etc and many more. 

Some of these might be cheesy but they would all get attention from niche players and some would have downright millions of built-in fans and loyal followers.

 I don't know why all of these developers chose names nobody ever heard of as most people will automatically buy a coin they're familiar with.  That's a huge advantage and if you can get a coin just to go to $1 you can make millions and it doesn't take a large following to get a $1 coin as long as you do a fair launch and you don't pump and dump.

I'm looking for a long term thing here but I need help.  I've got a thing running on gofundme.com but no donations yet.  Not enough people know about these coins yet and I don't want to wait a year cause way too many coins will be out by then and it will be much harder to get noticed.

Right now my number 1 pick to launch is CatholicCoin.com. 

Also can someone answer this:  What's up with the .org thing for crypto coins?  Isn't dot com still the best choice?  I also bought the dot org names too but only cause that seems to be the trend but I don't get why.  It's a waste of money but I wanted to lock these big names in. 

So is dot org necessary for crypto coins or is dot com still the best and people simply couldn't get the dot com so they went for the dot org?

I just want to take issue with this "Tradecoins - the first fully mined cryptocurrency" tagline, as I see the OP still posting with it.

sacarlson's WEEDS (SHA256) was the first fully mined "cryptocurrency" in 2011, the idea being that only transaction fees and no miner block subsidy rewards would be given out, which I assume is the idea behind tradecoins.
