Q; Why 3x Gpu Rig not 6x or more?
A; from what i understand after research 3 weeks , people had Troubles to run 6+ VEGA in one rig . also vegas card need double 8-pin each ,  2x psu per rig .
3x GPU (vega) hashrate is stable , no problem in the blockchain  driver + wattman + [xmr-stak - Cast XMR] etc .



I'd like to hear your advice .

If you don't have any rigs you should invest some of that in nvidia cards.
Vega is ok for Monero I hope some day it will be good for something else.
Rig with 3 cards is not cheap. Software development should resolve problems that you will have with 6 cards.

They're by far the most problematic cards out there right now, getting stable high hashrate with Cryptonight is a pain in the ass. And their fast ROI is questionable, ETN keeps going down and then it's just XMR. If I was a beginner I'd go with simpler cards, probably GTX 1070 / 1070 Ti and RX 580, 7-8 per rig. In like 70/30% proportion.

If the alternative is 30x Vega cards, then yes, definitely, 42x 1070 Ti cards is a better choice. I would still diversify though, and would get some AMD cards as well. Although probably not Vega's, but Polaris cards — some decent RX 580 8gb like Nitro's. It all depends on the prices though, GPU market is still quite unbalanced, so it's up to what you can get and at what price. I wouldn't pay more than $450 for 1070 Ti cards and more than $300 for rx 580/8. Would get 60-70% nvidia and 30-40% amd.

Dont waste money on purchasing too much mainboard, cpu, ssd, ram. You prefer you purchase good mainboard such as Asus Z270-Prime AR (very dedicated card for OC), then you could build a rig with 6-8 cards (I suggest 7 cards for this MB).

I see you have done your homework unlike many here, i would go. half vega have 1070
non ti, the non ti cards are around $420

also you will find the 1070s are alot easier to setup and configure than vegas

plug and play basically, but when the vegas are setup they are basicaly stable much more so than rx cards because they dont need stupid mods to get good hash rates

your play is goos but i would go with a mix of cards

Good power reserve. I like it. But I prefer more GPUs in the rig. The troubles of running 6+ Vega seems resolved soon.
But we still wait nonreference models of Vega56. Manufacturers promissed nonref Vega in October but now the end of NOVEMBER and we see nothing

I'd spare a few grands on Nvidia stuff, an AMD-centric build could be less profitable on the long run

If you don't have density problems, 1060 could be an option

I don't know what about Vega ref/non-ref. Because we can't compare yet  . But my experience in using of referense and non-referense models of GTX1080 has shown that referense models hotter. For my GPUs ref models is 8-10 degrees hotter than non-refs (of different vendors). The temps are not critical (below 70C) but it's fact that referense cooler is not the best

If you newbie of building rigs and you have a decent amount of money the easy ways is to buy L3+ ASIC miner.
They are easy to configure and have already everything that you need.
But it's only my opinion.

You cannot argue with anyone today about the graphic cards, RX Vega are the better performing cards especially at the Cryptonight algorithm which saves you money over the long run as it is not a power hungry algorithm. I agree with 3 x Mining Expert Mobos from ASUS and 56 x RX Vega cards. Other parts except the PSU-s which should be of high quality I don't really care much, get a cheap 8GB DDR4 ram and a cheap 120 GB SSD from Sandisk. They will work well.

If they're priced the same then go with 64, of course. By the way, your first post mentions 3 cards per rig. With Vega's, 4 cards per rig definitely work fine. It's more than 4 that is usually problematic. But even that might've been fixed already, I'm not following vega threads but it looks like people are putting even more of them per rig these days.
