In my country too bitcoin is often getting visualized in articles as well news channels. Here some articles show it as an innovation that is to make changes, while few try to degrade the value of bitcoin spreading negative news about the same. Its our responsibility to find the truth and act wisely.

Japan is a very technologically advanced country, and therefore the population there is educated in this matter. And it is not surprising that there everyone knows about bitcoin and actively uses it.

I would say this is so normal and typical for Japan. They are highly sophisticated country and all kind of technologies play very important part in the life of Japanese people. They easily embrace everything that makes their life easier and more progressive. Unfortunately, in my country the situation is not like that, people are much more traditional and not very keen to new technologies. I would say that maybe only about 5%, of overal population have heard of bitcoin.

Everyone tech savvy enough here has either mined or is mining cryptos. All the electronics stores are almost out of cards or at least they were before the decline of crypto prices. I would say 90% of the people owning computer hardware have heard about Bitcoin.

In my country bitcoin is not so will known, it is only known to thus who have computers and internet connections but it is only 50% of them engage and has bitcoin and the other don't have only knowledge and afraid of it because they heard a lot of scam going on that using bitcoin to steal money from people, they only see negative side of using it and not the good part.

I'd be curious if Bitcoin Forum members can chime in on what the estimated awareness might be for their region or country: https://news.bitcoin.com/survey-japanese-bitcoin/a quote: "A recent survey of 10,000 men and women across Japan shows that 88% of them have heard of bitcoin. Among those that have bitcoin, 47% said that they have used it in retail stores but long-term investment is most respondents’ main reason for purchasing bitcoin." Woe that was impressive and i am not shock because they are a country that accepts innovation at all time that is why they are very much advance because the government are accepting any innovative ideas in that country. I wish that my country is like that tpo because here it seems like old people are very much afraid to change what they used to do they are not letting that much the future to come in that is why our country is not that competitive at all.in terms of innovation. But i think at least 40% of the people in our country know that bitcoins exist

I can't give the exact or any percentage as to how many people in our country have heard or have known bitcoin. But surely I can say that a great number of well-aware people in my own land knows about this. In fact in social media many of them knew it too. But sad to say a lot of them have doubts about it and thought it was just a scammed thing. Hopefully it will be outnumbered by people who are aware from the benefits of it.

I don't think that It is unusual, as It is Japanese who created bitcoin. Most of the people in Japan have got computer and internet access. But, in countries like ours where hundreds of thousands of people still don't have computer and internet access. So, not many people know about bitcoin and digital currency. But the number of people who know about bitcoin is growing rapidly.

It is wonderful that at least one country so well accepted bitcoin and develops it. It remains to spread this trend around the world.

For a developed country like Japan, this is not surprising, but what can we say about my country, for example, where not even a Bank card can be spread everywhere...

Investing in encryption in Japan is about the same as investing in stocks in China, but encryption is forbidden in China.
The number of people who know about bitcoin and the rest of the crypto coins and are busy in investing of huge amount of their income in Japan is far more than that of any other country and that this is the reason why the government of japan is also taking so many steps in promoting of crypto currencies as they really know that this will help them in making their economy much stronger.
