Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

bitcoins and other altcoins value now are being volatile from time to time, even in a minute or an hour there is a huge difference. Big increase and big decrease after at the same time. Volatility is a part of crypto currency so please stop saying that nothing is moving.

It is not from time to time it is all the time, to explain why it is happening you
need to understand supply/demand of all crypto-coins and traditional currencies.
Now if it is possible imagine paired crypto-coins and traditional currencies, understand
their differences, and all that is happening on global level.
Volatility is a part of all currencies and products on the market, everything depends
from something, according to that price are moving if conditions are good and prices
are going down if conditions are bad.

BIG WINNER!

I have seen this post just now and it is really funny how he come up with this.
He went on bitcointalk talking about no volatility while even before commodities do have that feature.
Hell even the currencies do. (fiat)
It would have been better if he just talked about other stuff than this. This is purely FUD for bitcoin and alts.

Maybe he should start a deeper research or studying more about commodities and currencies.

Volatility is always active in Cryptocurrencies, and as you can see, just recently, Bitcoin has dropped from $18000 down to $16000. That’s also the work of Volatility, we shouldn’t  always be expecting the price rate of cryptocurrencies to keep on rising, there are also times when they will take a fall, and there are times they will rise up, that’s why we say they are volatile– Volatility doesn’t mean going up all the time, it means fluctuating from one position to another.

Volatility will never stop in decentralized world, the market will keep on moving when there are demand and supply, if a coin not fluctuative anymore, its mean nobody attracted to that coin anymore, and no volatility means no trader could trade the coin, so big chances it will be dead coin
The fact that it is an uncontrolled market, there is a lot of uncertainty, there are so many dummies who see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and the market is totally based on pure demand and supply, then there is just no way this will not continue.

Still, even some of these things that I have mentioned get to reduce, volatility is the main thing in any demand and supply market, the only difference is that it may reduce in the long run when there is a real certainty and sensible usage for value.

In additional volatility is one character that was included in cryptocurrencies,
No one can stop this because anytime it will happen. Whatever the situation volatility will be happen. Especially in the market, it is all about the value or price that happen in crypto currency because of the demand.

Volatility will decrease throughout the years with this market getting more and more regulated, but not to the extent of reaching total stability, that will never happens because even with traditional assets that isn't the case. Bitcoin actually needs a bit more stability in order to give people more incentive to actually start using Bitcoin as currency tool. I think if we at some point in the future can achieve that, it will tremendously increase Bitcoin's adoption, and especially in combination with lightning network. At this point convenience and stability are lacking, and with time I am confident that we will tackle both aspects, which will then stimulate adoption.
Yeah, total stability is something that can never happen one bit. What we are seeing now with the high level of volatility is because the market is still very new and people are only seeing bitcoin as an asset and want to just make profit.
Over time, as we keep getting more adoption and we start having real life usage for bitcoin, things will change and then we will experience just some pretty much gradual increase and decrease in the value of bitcoin.

Yes I agree, Bitcoin can never have a steady market just like all the others. There are extremely lagging days, and this is one of them. I have observed the steady flow for the past three days circling within $12,000 to $13,500. I cannot say it is something to be happy about because Bitcoin really suffered a nose dip from its highest peak by far. I just hope that even if it goes steady, it will rise no matter how slow the movement will be.

And just a quick update, from around $13,000 this morning, it has almost reached $16,000 this evening. So you see, it is still very much erratic.

Volatility is our foundation in trading and for the other type of making of money like investing. Volatility will not have an end in cryptocurrency since the market is not regulated and it is just all depending on the supply and demand of the coin so the price will keep moving based on the demand only and the volatility will not end and it will just continue.

All along we have been hearing traders complaining of the Bitcoin market been too volatile and only here have I heard a complaint about lack of volatility, different strokes I must say! At any rate, it helps by understanding that the market needs some breather too after plummeting or rallying, if just cannot afford to continue indefinitely in anyone direction, so all so often the market shall be seen slowing down to decide if to still push forward or reserve depending on net pressure between the bulls and bears.

A strong argument for the volatility of Bitcoin and by extension the crypto market, is that so far, the market is dominated by speculators and the market capitalization is still low. However,  by the time more and more investors and merchants come into the equation, we would start to see some stability and lesser volatility.

Crypto more than bitcoin. Even if bitcoin volatility will decrease, there always will be coins with a large possible profit, but a greater risk and volatility.

Volatility is over? Nothing is moving? What are you looking at? :-)))))

Even in the most relaxed moment, there is more volatility in a day in crypto that in a year in forex!

Look better, and you'll see plenty of opportunities.
Its not over volatility is always in the crypto market. This is why most investors like the volatility the price is always active and most like to invest due to ups and down price. The chance to invest and dont take for granted to buy when the price is cheap.
It is even worst now that everyone is going crazy about the crypto world and bitcoin. It is something that cannot be over, but over time, may be in some years or decades when everyone sees bitcoin for what it really is, as a currency, then there will be a reduction in the volatility.

Right now, things have just gotten so crazy that everyone want to tap from the ever increasing bitcoin which makes it bad. I remember the period in between 2013 and late 2016, those are the kind of stability that bitcoin will have later on but at what price is what no one knows.

It is not possible that cryptocurrency will perpetually be on rollercoaster in it pricing. But the days of serious volatility is still in the future. When bitcoin reaches seven figure pricing, there will serious volatility.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

Last time I checked values of different cryptocurrencies are still fluctuating from time to time. There are insignificant value changes at times, yes, but it is still changing, nonetheless. I think volatility itself sets cryptocurreny apart from traditional money and it will always be present for us to enjoy or even frown upon during dips.

One of the distinct feature of Cryptos over spot forex is it's volatility personally I have traded both Cryptos and spot forex having spotted the differences.
Trading Cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin always defies most working strategies that works efficiently in forex due to it's volatile nature, therefore Cryptos will continually be volatile even without any fundamentals.

Yeah, despite that Forex is even a controlled environment, there is still volatility. The difference is that it is not as much as the level we have it but all currencies are volatile against each other in the Forex market and that is how the Forex traders are making good profit from trading of Forex. There are huge opportunities from the volatility just as you have said, and the best is just to stay smart.

It can't be over until some form of regulations are implemented or else all forms of manipulations from whales and sharks especially, will continue to be the order of the day.So expect this extreme volatility to continue for a while. The best thing to always do is to recoup your initial investment before it becomes too late. Also at the end of the day look at the brighter side because prices will usually recover.

No.Crypto currencies are decentralized and so the price will either increase or decrease with variation in demand. So,volatile would exist. Some expect that volatility would get reduced when big companies enter the market and the price would get stable.

It is this volatility of bitcoin which traders make use of and gain huge profits.
In case of bitcoin, volatility is a blessing because just because of this feature, people are able to do successful trading. Without continuous increase and decrease in values, they will not be able to sell bitcoin high than the prices they bought it at.

I am sure that people will not favor the stability of bitcoin forever. The involvement of big markets and investors will obviously affect the market prices of bitcoin.
Volatility is the big problem for bitcoin. Many investors afraid of a huge variation in price and that’s why they are not investing in bitcoin. But for most people volatility is good because when the price grow more and more they earn a lot of money and the early investors have made millions of dollars from their investment. Now they are the richest persons of their communities. But overall volatility is not good.
