I agree with you that most of them don't have any quality. The question is how can you know will it be a good coin or not? Maybe we can eliminate those that don't have whitepaper and a roadmap. Are there any other ideas how to decide which coins don't have any value and we should not even bother with them?

Is it by newbie account? Does it follow same pattern as other airdops? if yes then it's probably a good idea to pass on. There are so many of them that follows same pattern and they disappear once it's listed on exchange. If people keep signing up they'll keep coming up.

They don't sign up to dump their token , a majority of this airdrop don't even launch their tokens. They made google docs to collect personnal data and hack you. Even if they have a website they can even get your IP and a lot more of personnal infos. More they know about , the better they can take control of your account or computer.
The forum strives to allow free discussion of any ideas. All policies are built around this principle. This doesn't mean you can post garbage, though: posts should actually contain ideas, and these ideas should be argued reasonably.

I participated in my first airdrop last week on a very small scale as I wanted to try it out. I got four people to sign up but have no idea how many tokens that amounts to. Can anyone advise please?

I do agree that most of airdrops are just attempts to get you to donate any amount of ethereum, while most of them never make it past the airdrop, as soon as they get enough cash they drop that project and start a new project with different name. Every once in a while some airdrops are legit, but 99% are a scam.

Only airdrop I've ever participated in is actually Deep Onion one... Last week I managed to get around 150 deep onions in airdrop and with price increasing to 2$+ it's worth over 300$ ....

So far I haven't been able to find anything similar to this... If anyone got anything I would really appreciate it Smiley

What should we do to airdrop? Stop it to join? Actually I am very annoyed with airdrop, I have often followed airdrop but never paid. I agree with you airdrop just wasted my time, i think better faucet than airdrop.

I've sort of given up on airdrops now to be honest.  The recent E-series of every available coin put the J in joke.  I do think there are still potential gems of airdrop out there, just got to look properly and look out for the tell tale signs of a joke/scam airdrop campaign.  Still, nothing like a coin/token you get through an airdrop and then it moons.

Airdrops are just a wasting of time. They doesn't worth anything at 98% of cases. Dear all, please, try to get busy with something worthwhile.

I'm not fun of airdrops. They are just people creating a volume to sell their useless tokens and catch some free and easy money.

Yeah, airdrops are fucking liars and the token creator just want to make money from the people. Therefore, do not trust airdrop or buy token from airdrop on the exchange. You will lose your money because token creator absolutely hold a big amount of coin and ready to dump them when it reach a good price

None of the above

More and more airdrop is a lie, I do not recommend participation in airdrop, because there are at most a few 100 airdrop quality, so I think it should not be a waste of time.

Actually most airdrops coins have almost nothing in value of the market. The devs made this airdrops is just a way to promote their upcoming ICO project, but doesn't mean that you'll gonna earned a big money from joining this. But for me, joining airdrops isn't a problem and it doesn't give you work. Just keep those coins and wait until it have a good value, and then sell it.

that's true but I assume there is more to it may be they want to collect private key that'll give them access to your tokens. If they just wanna collect IP there are millions easier ways to do it besides creating airdrops. Those I mentioned  were the ones who create airdrop and launch their tokens on exchange and disappear. There are new ones everyday though so it's hard to keep track.

it takes just few minutes to fill the form, so i think it's worth to try. But if it requires too much personal information, obvly you can say it's a scam.

Most of them is useless anyway, the dev only going for a quick cash grab, the one to blame is the guys who donate or give them eth and the motivation to continue doing that. I never join airdrop because most of them don't have whitepaper and other important information.

I think the veteran here in the forum should have much more to say about scam airdrop. With my experience participating airdrop for almost a month now and since then I have received nothing and it's totally useless and wasting my precious time. Most of them usually asked you to retweet first their twitter post to gather more followers and must provide your personal information.

It's really useless. It's not like those airdrops before and it's all because of those e-version coins that successfully scam many investors and give others idea and inspire them that they can also do that too.
