Everything was fine until I closed Jaxx, next time I opened it everything was gone! No sign of transaction ever being made!

Never used jaxx before but I will go with Danny's opinion. Hard to argue with a man that was 10000 times right..

I've seen other users with the same problem in iOS app. As I checked Jaxx's twitter account they have mentioned that their devs are aware about the issue of the app not showing/displaying the balance. It's been a week (or almost) during the time of reply, you should wait for the update to check whether the issue will be resolved. As stompix stated, your balance is there, it's just that it's not visible in the app.

It sorted out after some time but strangely enough there is no incoming transaction recorded but the balance is here.
