In my opinion, age takes a backseat in maintaining a stable relationship, when compared to other factors such as compassion, sexual life, and understanding each others needs. I have seen a lot of stable relationships where the husband is 5 to 10 years elder to the wife, and at the same time I have seen a lot of break-ups occurring in relationships where both are of the same age.

I think that all depends on your mental age. You could be 18 and be mentally as smart and experienced as 25 year old. Evironment does affect that a lot,as well as raising. Wealth could be important factor too.

I agree to this but still, there are certain age gaps that must be looked at. An age gap of 10 for a couple, for me that is the maximum gap. But having a relationship with someone who's still in the growing stage or should I say adolescent and you, yourself is double that age then you've both crossed the borderline. It's like being pedophile.

If the relationship is consensual, then you don't have the right to criticize them. I am seeing a lot of broken relationships around. And in most cases, the couple are of the same age. I still remember the 90 year old Hugh Hefner maintaining physical relationships with 18-year old women. Both parties were happy in those cases.
