I do not think that bitcoin will be majoring in college, because now there is a lesson that addresses the basic criptocurency, ie Cryptography and information security courses. In the lesson we explained how basic criptocurency, security, but of course this is very boring to follow.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Well, it is possible in the future if cryptocurrencies replace fiats. Every government will be interested in employing people who are prepared to work with cryptocurrencies. Creating and maintaining cryptocurrency isn't an easy process as many people think. People working with cryptocurrencies must be good at mathematics and cryptography. It will be interesting to see how big will be the demand for crypto-specialists.
In my opinion, there is little possibility government will fully support cryptocurrencies unless they can control it (centralized). but yeah blockchain programmer will have high demand in the future because in the future everything will be related to blockchain scheme, cryptography, and security.

Cryptocurrency or blockchain can be, maybe already are.
Bitcoin less likely, since its too specific I think.
But then check these: https://goo.gl/k7XAEY, so why not.

As a major subject in college? I don't think so, since all of the information they need to learn about cryptocurrencies are readily available all over the internet. It is worth only as a mention maybe, but not as a major subject.
all the information i need for a bachelors in pretty much everything is readily available on wikipedia, and with a bit of digging in the right places, probably masters degrees as well, so by your logic, universities shouldnt even exist. actually use your brain and try to come up with a statement that's only half true.

What jobs would this degree be used for?
ideally blockchain development if bitcoin were to take off, development on forks to improve the scalability of bitcoin. however, i dont think this would ever work out; bitcoin benefits from decentralization, and with employers seeking these jobs to develop the blockchain, most likely the benefit themselves, i dont think this would ever work out for the benefit of bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency or blockchain can be, maybe already are.
Bitcoin less likely, since its too specific I think.
But then check these: https://goo.gl/k7XAEY, so why not.
if anything, bitcoin is a broader subject that the blockchain as the blockchain is an inherently included topic on the subject of bitcoin. however, i dont think either of these subjects holds enough subject matter to develop a field of study on.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

The possibility is enormously big as the cryptocurrency makes a mark in the life’s if investments opportunity for the past few years.. The people deserve to know and the students needs to learn how bitcoin become one of the biggest thing in this world for a decade now.. A new technology worth to give effort to teach and spread throughout every generation to continue..

Not specifically BTC but cryptocurrencies in general. You think it will become a course of study / college degree at some point?
I think it is not a good idea if cryptocurrencies will be teach in schools because students will become more focus in earning cryptocurrencies rather than studying. There are some courses online that offers free teaching about cryptocurrencies. You can enroll to that course if you want to learn about cryptocurrencies.

I do not see BTC becoming major in colleges or universities because it goes against their whole system. Sure there are some random ones accepting it for their bookstore, or even paying their tuition, but there ins't widespread BTC classes being offered. We will see it eventually once the world changes the way education is done as well and this will come with decentralizaiton.

Yes, many of the top colleges are offering or have started offering cryptography classes on the subject.

Learning about the programming side of things, the security side, hashing, and all things encompassing it.

It is something all people should learn about and we need to teach our kids about decentralization so that we can make a better world. Also tell your family and friends about it.

If bitcoin is mass adopted and a lot of people is using it seeing it's potential then maybe it's possible that bitcoin will be in college but i don't see it happening sooner and not all college will gonna be teaching bitcoin i guess.

It is possible, studies about computers started from abacus and until today, new technologies are being implemented to studies not for information but to help them use it in a daily basis.
Cryptocurrencies are included in modern technology since it is run through web.
Or may be included also in economics since it discusses about currencies.
But in order to make that happen. Government should accept first bitcoin. It will be evaluated not only for the country purposes but by education organisation if applicable.

No way it will be possible.
But could be a good example and be used in economics though.  They are actually going to be good with it when it is bitcoin that will be used as an example.
Remeber, it is not easy to predict where bitcoin is going and if ever they could make it somehow possible then they could make a lot of money.

This would actually be very interesting and something I would love to see!  I would honestly actually take that if it's available by the time I'm going to college probably.  I hope that they do make it a thing,  but I doubt it honestly.

Spreading bitcoin and blockchain technology based inventions is certainly one of the main goals that the cryptocurrencies community has to do in a continuous pace to inform people that there are new ways to practice their freedom in this cruel world , spreading this ideology is imperative , but should be done in the right way .
I already know people who are having cryptography lessons in their computer engineering curriculum  , or working on small projects that gets them to know more about the blockchain technology .
Others are having international finance courses talking about exchanging rates and foreign exchanging market and the bitcoin topic was posed multiple times by their tutors in order to enrich their knowledge of such economic models .

Not bitcoin itself but the technology behind bitcoin can be a major in the future. I'm talking about blockchain technology, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and it can be included to economics subject and other financials or accounting courses. Well if that's the whole cryptocurrency itself, including majority learning such as the tech, smart contracts and other things about it together with mining and confirmation of transactions.

your reply is completely worthless unless you can define exactly what you mean by their 'system.' and just going off of assumptions here, i cant see what you could possibly mean, much less how it would go against their 'system.' universities are places of higher learning, where students can pursue in - depth and niche knowledge and obtain a degree certifying that they have taken the time and effort (and money) to obtain this information for use in furthering society. what exactly would learning about bitcoin have against a system of education? youre probably just shitposting for your sig campaign, but theres that 1/100 chance you're not, so i'd like to see exactly what you mean by this 'system' that you've failed to define.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

If bitcoin continues to impress us for sure this can be a big factor in our technology in the future. Blockchain technology can also tackle on universities because this is the main technology that can help us move forward in the future. I do hope that this thing will happen in the next years.

I think it is possible, but it still need time to be implemented in college, the first things is bitcoin need the permission from the government and then bitcoin still need be more famous, if bitcoin can be develop and use properly, it can become very useful for society

Then perhaps blockchain technology is valid. Its benefit, features and smart contracts. These are very interesting subjects that are helpful and necessary on IT courses. BTC and crypto are like companies and they will never become a major in college. It's like companies like Samsung, Exxon Mobil and other companies in the stock market becoming a major in college which is funny and nonsense.
