Can you create a simple Linux wallet guide?  I know everyone's fired up about Master Nodes, however I and many others just want a simple Linux wallet.  Read through the instructions and they include steps necessary for the MN which I'm not interested in doing. Really want to get these off the exchange as soon as possible.

Where did you read max supply is 40M?

The PoW (mining) stage generated 40M, then the coin moved to PoS.

The PoS rewards reduce over time, but will never reach zero. Therefore theoretical supply is infinite over an infinite period.

As you can see here, there are only guides for Windows and Mac, nothing for linux.

On here, you can see a guide for Linux, but it compiles for Master Node only and opens up all kinds of ports and is headless with the "no gui" function.

There is a lot of questions in this post.
I don't understand why, everything is simple.
Send all your coins from old wallet to exchange (cryptobridge).
Remove our old wallet.
Install the new wallet.
Send all your coins from exchange to new wallet.

I can use swap procedure if you want (after 14th February)

Coin Swap Details

1. Backup your old wallet.dat before you do anything!
2. Coin swaps are only performed via the chat on https://shekel.io/
3. You need to wait until the chat is online. It will be online more often from 14th February.
4. Do not pester the admins on Discord to do your swap. They cannot help you.
5. Coin swaps continue until 28th February so there is plenty time.
6. Why to stake or run masternodes on the old chain while you wait for your swap?
7. When you join the swap chat on https://shekel.io/ make sure you have:
    a. Your old coins ready to send (i.e. all coins unlocked/masternodes stopped).
    b. The new wallet installed (New wallet = Black GUI : Old wallet = White GUI).
    c. The correct wallet version installed (Help / About Shekel Core should display v1.3.0)
    d. A new wallet address created to receive your coins.
8. It may take 48 hours for your new coins to arrive. Don't chase until 48 hours have passed.
9. Coins in stocks.exchange and crypto-bridge are New coins and don't need to be swapped.
10. Old wallet addresses start with a S : New wallet addresses start with J

Yes, but only unlocked coins are staked, i.e. the 25000 masternode collateral coins are locked and therefore not staked.

Masternode rewards and staking rewards do stake.
