Honestly, pro and con of gambling totally depends on each individual and how they really place gambling in their life. It's actually not a 1:1 thing in most gambling sites. Since there is house edge then there is always 49:50 or something like that. That means the chances of you winning and losing is not equal. There is a higher likelihood of a gambler losing than winning due to house edge. It may look small, but statistically speaking that is not a number you should look down upon. It's actually a huge difference if there was no house edge.

These are a lot of questions. By the way, you are right to say that gambling can sometimes make your life much easier, but in the case of winning. There is no way to avoid the lose in casino mate, because it's all depend on luck, so you should be lucky to avoid to lose.
