2 computers sitting side by side.  I sent .02 bitcoin from a 2013 multibit wallet to a Exodus in laptop. 13 days still not Confirmed  I can't add money to the fee in 2013 wallet. so fee shows $.81.  so network won't send it though.  In 13 DAYS it has seen 22 peers. I would pay more fee if I could.  13 Days ! Really!  Get your sh** to gather.  This will Kill Bitcoin! Cry

Have you tried any of the free acceletarion services like viaBTC?

First, you are using a very outdated software and fee estimations of even the latest Bitcoin wallets are pretty bad, so in order to use Bitcoin correctly you have to check manually the current network fees.
Multibit also stop being supported around half a year ago, so you really should have imported your seed to a better wallet. Basically, in Bitcoin it's always the best to make your research first how to do everything properly and only then starting using it - there are many things that can go wrong.
Sooner or later your transaction will get confirmed, so you shouldn't worry that it will be lost. Also, transactions are processed by their fee/byte so it's hard to tell whether your "$.81" was enough or not - if you had many inputs than you might be close to something like 1 satoshi/byte and you'll have to wait really long.
I spent 4 months trying to get the wallet to show my .77 of a bitcoin.  I'm just trying to get it in a better wallet.

80 cents you put on the fee? That is way too low my friend I put a transaction through last week that cost I think 10-15$ it was shitty but it had to be done. Granted I agree with you the fees should be drastically lower!
the wallet set the fee. I would gladly pay more.

You should have exported the private key from Multibit and imported it into a more modern wallet. You could also have tried the last release of Multibit Classic.

If you would post the transaction ID one of us may be able to push the transaction for you. Also recommend you stop using that POS outdated Multibit wallet. Between Multibit and blockchain.info we get more complaints about stuck transactions than any other wallets.
I'm trying to but my desktop is failing bad.

Wow i never thought that it was going to see one of those posts again. But why did you sent that amount of money using a multibit wallet? the last update that this wallet had was on 2015. It is very risky to use this because it does not even have segwit activated (it means that regular fees are a little bit more expensive)
But no, it was not your fault, but the regular fees are more than $5, and 13 days ago the fees were much more expensive than right now.

Yep, there is a guy in this forum called CoolWave, he can just acelerate your transaction for free, he acelerated a lot of mine transactions.

This account has recently been hacked and taken over, I haven't posted anything for about two years.  Whoever has been using it and pretending to be me is a scammer.

Exodus said fees last week was $25.  to $100..  If only the rich can move bitcoins.  You can Kiss it goodbye.  That was the whole idea was little to no Fees.
That's why it's better to hold it--and I realize how stupid it sounds, but it's true.  Bitcoin sucks ass as a currency right now.  It's much better as a store of value, and even more so for the rich, that's true.

Everyone who's ever owned bitcoin knows the wait times and fees suck, and yet the market is still giving it a higher value.  That should tell you something about bitcoin "gettting killed".  It ain't, not by a long shot.  Me, I'm a-holding mine for now.

I'm holding also. but my coin is in a bad wallet from 2013 and a failing computer.

The old multibit wallet was not programed to handle transaction fees dynamicly. It has a hard cap which is very out of date. The private key should have been exported but that's not implying bircoin would die. It's mostly incompetence.

show proof. I might be wrong but there's no way your transaction is still pending, by now it would've been rejected by the network. And 13 days ago a 0.81$ fee was an extremely low because the mempool was getting spammed. Also, why are you using a multibit wallet? get an Electrum asap.

But I think you're blowing things out of proportion. Kill Bitcoin? high fees and long wait times its a known problem within the btc community (though right now, you can get your tx confirmed in less than 1 hours setting low fees), but it's not like it is a recurrent issue.

It won't kill Bitcoin but it might kill the 2013 wallet Cheesy
Really man why did you send anything without updating your wallet, especially when you saw that it doesn't allow you to set the fees right?
It's like you started complaining on a windows forum that your win 3.1 has no support...
Valid point.People just want to show bitcoin as unfit for survival by any way. There is no need for sending bitcoin using that out of date wallet.Whatever they try to show negativity about bitcoin, its just progressing day by day an its price today has reached an ATH of $8,657.

this sucks, but your issue is with multibit, not BTC. lots of people have issues trying to recover BTC from multibit wallets, particularly because there is no continued support for their wallet anymore. if the transaction is still showing as stuck in multibit, you should probably focus on extracting your keys from multibit and importing them into another wallet.

is this an HD wallet or classic wallet? it makes a difference. if you have an HD wallet, this is a very useful thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1938149.0

and FYI, you'll probably get more help in the multibit subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=99.0

actually, you can pay additional fee. please see here:

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

additionally, there are a few wallets that have the Opt-in Replace-by-fee function. This lets you re-send the same transaction, but with a higher fee. To my knowledge, GreenAddress and Electrum do this only.

and finally, if you a re savvy enough you can simply rebroadcast the transaction with a higher fee. This is a full replace-by-fee, and some pools process these transactions with priority (as the fees are usually superior, the user is obviously in a rush).

Or, you can always wait LOL. but at this point, the tx might fall out of the mempool; you may have these coins back in your wallet sooner than you know Wink
That would be fine to get them back. The wallet set the fee.

Yes, transaction speed is the disadvantage of Bitcoin now. If developers cant continue Segwit2x, I think many people will leave Bitcoin

You Know I won't be the only one that this will happen to.  The network should see it is an old wallet with a set fee and send it on or return it.  I didn't set the Fee in 2013.  That is why I sent .02.

Click on the transaction, then click 'show transaction details' then click 'view on blockchain.info' or 'blockexplorer.com'. Once you see the transaction in blockchain.info copy and paste the transaction ID here.
