What a frustrating experience. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to use my webcam appartently. I use Windows 10 operating system and every time I get to the page where they want to take a picture using the webcam which is internally installed on my computer a "OOPS" page pops up. Then I have to wait an hour or so before I can try again, because it auto submits the form or something. I've tried everything I can think of. I tried with other browsers. I even tried using my iPhone. Help me bitcoin talk. Help. Grrrrr. This is so frustrating.

my piece of advice for you, i do not recommend you to trade your coin in that exchanger. there're a ton of problem that had been occured in there and they have 0 support. many people lost a lot of money while using that exchanges, from losing their money due to unclose margin, deposit lost, withdrawal error and the majority people have a problem with their account. they're blocking it due to unknown reason and did not reply our message. so it would be better for you to avoid it at any cost, but it's up to you to decide it

I suggest you to give up, don't even bother. Poloniex used to be one of the best exchangers with great reputation but it isn't so anymore. Lately there were a lot of accusations for scam, poor customer service, account blocking without reason etc. So if you don't want to be another person with such problems, find another exchanger.

nobody can help you out because the main problem did not come from you but instead them. the majority people had a problem while using their service, and many people lost their access to their account without a proper explanation. just like other people said to you,it would be better for you to give it up and stay away from it. but if you're already sent your coin to them,i think you should keep sending them a ticket from email everyday. it does not guarantee you anything at least you're trying to find a way to solve it. trading is a risky thing and using a shady exhanges at the same time is like killing ourself. better safe than sorry my brother,

"You have reached the maximum allowed number of failed verification attempts."
What a stupid exchange. It is almost like they don't want more customers. I've been put through a lot of shit these last 24 hours trying various shit just to get an account. Fuck them for wasting my time.

I have experience with that exchange before. I never verify my account till now nut i can still withdraw my fund. But long time did not use it again. May i know if poloniex not allow withdrawal now to unverified account? If they allow then why you try to verify if its so difficult for you.

Patient friend .. if you can not use poloniex then use other market .. there are many big market altcoin easier in verification .. I also have experienced the same .. in local bitcoin market my country I first deposit and trade without verification . and after I get the profit from my trade I try to take it .. but as I suspected several times failed in verification and they assume that someone else tried to take over my funds .. until now I lost the account and its contents because it can not be verified again.

In my experience with Poloniex this is good exchange and never problem wih them, but now I heard the verification procces so long, I think this is because they has increasing more customer and they can not handle it, A few year ago when the has customer around 4,000 trader is very easy and fast to get verified. But other exchange like Bittrex will be good to get fast verified account.

Bittrex verifies people within a day. In my case, it was like an hour. And I left Poloniex this summer due to many complaints from users and horrible support. I remember when they have a lot of new users and didn't want to refresh their server, I was just tired from that lagging all the time.

Poloniex and Bittrex are the same thing, i dont know why are you trying to verify your account in there, do you have funds in there? take them out of there before you start your verification process.
A lot of people lost their money in there because they closed their accounts without any explanation, and they are never answering to the support tickets, this is the main reason of why a lot of people lost thousand's of dollars, because they are never replying.
There are a lot of exchanges at the moment, but never use this one or bittrex, because they both are the same kind of scammy exchanges

This is the most frustrating experience. I have a working webcam, but somehow poloniex can't access it. It told me to update chrome, which I did, and tried again. I tried removing pop-up blockers, etc, still doesn't work. Every time I try I have to re-submit my information. There's no way to see if the webcam is working before submitting. After a few times, it just says that my verification status is "Pending", so I can no longer submit a verification, even though I never submitted anything and it was only because it couldn't find my webcam!!
So then I'm trying through a new computer, and because my first account is stuck at pending, I create another account, this still doesn't work. I'm hoping to try again, but it told me to come back in an hour. So I wait for an hour while all I want to do is go to sleep. It's been an hour and it's still telling me to come back in an hour.

They released a statement that sometime in the first quarter of 2018 they are revamping their verification system.
I am hoping they use something that's reliable and provides 3rd party verification similiar to what Bittrex uses.
I guess they deteremined that its impossible to manually approve all these accounts with accuracy and had to seek a different solution.

there's simple things they can do that would dramatically improve the experience -- they need to have a ux designer look at the work flow -- they should just allow you the webcam before submitting, and not count submission attempts if it's actually issues with the webcam, and also offer an alternative to webcam for people that don't have webcams. Also, the passport verification has driver's license as an example, which is very confusing, why not put up an example using an actual passport?

They should done this much earlier, realizing that verification process is not easy doing it manually, let see if when they will completely announce this information and when they will start the process using third party if they will consider this to help them easily manage all the applications.
