I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do???

I agree with your second opinion, invest some altcoin and keep some BTC, because the risk of altcoin is much higher than that of BTC, so it is safer to say, and the return on investment may be higher.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.

A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:

Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.

Whatever strategy you did when you turned your .01 BTC to 12 BTC, you can keep doing that. Maybe you can again turn your 12 BTC to a hundred BTC in the next six months. If I were in your position, hold 6 bitcoins, convert 1 btc to fiat, then invest the rest in altcoins.

I think, you have to divide them. You can continue to hold 5 or 8 BTC. For the rest you have to find good ICO for investments, or buy altcoins with the good project, Stratis - my council for investments, through not a large number of time you will be able to make good money

hold it for a while, bitcoin is dropping as i've checked now. So hold it for the mean time. by the way, how much do you spend for 12btc ? or how much do you invest for 1 btc? if you think that your capital was doubled. maybe its better to sell now and buy again later if the value reach his lowest value.

sell it if you think you have a profit from it. I think bitcoin slowly dropping now, so if you sell it now, you can reserve you money to buy later for more bitcoin and then hold until the price value back to 11000$.

Wait till it breaks $10k again and then see IMO.

Just keep your Bitcoin although it’s risky but that’s a very good investment if you keep holding because anytime this year your Bitcoin will rise up to the highest level.

Wow! I consider not much from commentators can make 12BTC for such short period of time. You know what you do. So I propose 2 options for you:
1) keep working in the same way and you can multiplicate this amount more
2)if you tired of such way  working, just consider long-term investment in BTC but convert small part of your money into fiat and make great time-out for youself e.g go into country where you wanted to visit for a long time and have fun! You deserved that!

1 BTC in 6 months 12 BTC making great success. I think you should keep half of Bitcoin you have in your wallet. Try to raise the remaining half Bitcoin, like you did in 6 months. Even if you've lost half Bitcoin in six months, make sure the other money you keep is worth so much. The bitcoin will be 60k dollars after 1 year i think.

Or invest it on good altcoins which will held a Hardfork so you can get a free coins from it

With that much BTC I would invest at least some of it in altcoins. Keep you're eggs in more than one basket and all that

why do not you try all friends, there is no harm in trying everything by allocating into several sections (for hold, investment, and others), of course by looking at the potential first, which will potentially get the greatest potential allocation.

You should invest in ICO our future. And you will make a lot of money Because when the law prohibiting is introduced illegal ICO then we will be sure that our funds will not go away to someone on the wallet

I would buy a house and lot. It is either you'll sell it for profit, rental, or you live on it. Real estate business can make you a millionaire for sure but requires a lot of money. Many people had become successful in real estate business. But I won't quit crypto though. I would still save some bitcoins for trading.

I think that you need to enjoy life, and of course you should definitely look at investing money, just look back today there are tons of opportunities, you just need to pick up a project and of course it is worth analyzing the project more seriously and specifically.

Hold your Bitcoin if the price reaches $10k usd the price will correct then before that you must convert your BTC to usd ,then after the correction buy the BTC again the outcome is more BTC.

Better not hold all in one crypto. Leave half in BTC and other half split for some coins, get few  ETH NEO ADA and make some high risk investment using 10%.
