Bitcoin $500,000 by 2020

If really bitcoin manages to takes place of fiat in term of currency (i.e. people use it as a currency to buy goods and services, and not only as an asset), then bitcoin price will raise to 500k$ in the next few years (maybe not 2020 however) for two reasons :
1) bitcoin is taking value
2) fiat are losing value
Meaning that the day bitcoin is worth 500k$, we won't be able to buy as much as we could with 500 k$ today because fiat prices will raise due to 2).

I definitely dont see that happening by 2020. I think Bitcoin has still a long way to go until we can see prices of this kind (if ever). Im excited for Bitcoin too, but I rather stay realistic than totally overhyped. I would be very surprised if we see $100.000 by 2020. Maybe we will also see $1.000 by that year?!

Anything is possible tbh. Although 500k per BTC would require a ton of investment first. At some point people should realize that some altcoins offer a lot more than BTC...

Some altcoins offer different functionality than bitcoin but there are not many, so while the chances bitcoin reaches that amount of money by 2020 are very low I still think people are going to concentrate most of their money and efforts in bitcoin for a very long time only when bitcoin is more established in the mind of the people we are going to see altcoins finally develop and being adopted as well.

Yes it is possible as the price of the bitcoin is rising in the market we can say that the price of the bitcoin in 2020 will be hit the high number 50,000 $. Also e are observing that people from the globe are making invest and trade in bitcoin which make the way easy for bitcoin to hit that price of the 50,000$ in 2020.

There are so many speculations that are coming out. Whether bitcoin can reach $500,000 or something. I think even if bitcoin will not reach that price. It is ok with us as long as it will not loose its value. Because anything can happen in the future.

No doubt, the only problem with bitcoin currently is the higher transaction fee and very slow transaction speed. Once these issues are fixed bitcoin will continue its journey from where it stopped. And bitcoin Lightning Network is about to solve the bitcoin transaction problems because it will speed up the bitcoin transaction speed with zero transaction fee. Once the lightning network is fully implemented bitcoin is going back to the track to retain it title, the king of cryptocurrencies.

One thing with btc, never say never. It may seem farfetched right now but bitcoin has showed us a lot of times in the past that it can surprise us. Some whales even believe that 2020 would see bitcoin hit 1million, however ridiculous that sounds like to most of us

If you don't think that bitcoin will make at $500,000 on 2020 then you are not the only who thinks this but we can't also speculate that it's impossible to happen. There are speculations before that doesn't even bother to predict that on 2017 bitcoin will reach $5,000 or $10,000 or even $15,000 - $19,000 but it did happened so if there will be surprises for this year we might see some good signs.

That is a misunderstanding, when bitcoin pumps high surely altcoins too will increase. As the price has been fluctuating high from the beginning of the year, people were into panic whether the price will grow high or not. In reality bitcoin is all about trust, and $500000 might look big when we think about the growth of the market.

You haven't knew it who said this and who's the guy that's very optimistic with this speculation? We can't buy on this speculation that bitcoin is possibly to go up at $500,000 on 2020 but who knows if that happens there will be too many people that are rich enough by that time. And the guy who told this before is John McAfee but that was changed now to $1M by that year.

$500,000 per bitcoin is not impossible because cryptocurrency is unpredictable, hence we cannot foresight what is going to happen. It could be there by that time but we can't actually predict the price even after 1 year and you are talking about so long.With growing popularity and demand in bitcoin the prices every year are growing vigorously and almost 3000% price boost is not an ordinary surge.We hope that prices reach there by that time.

I guess that's a very wide idea and you're right, bitcoin every year increased its value due to increasing demand. Maybe we can achieve that good price soon, but year 2020 was merely so early for that to happen because as of this moment bitcoin was fluctuating more times. Possible to happen for year 2020 is $40K and not more than that, and if again fluctuated value always present during those days due to more dumping because of profitable price.
