Yes, of course you can hold your altcoin in your wallet for a yer if you believe in the project and you think that you can earn more by holding then you definitely keep coins in your wallet.
Agreed. This is a common strategy of people who do not like to trust their funds to exchanges. So do many hunters, placing orders for the remains of tokens, in very large sums.

If you want to hold altcoins for a long time, it is recommended that you use a hardware wallet, which is relatively safer.  Security, private keys do not touch the net, hackers can not pass the network attack. In addition, the device has PIN protection, and even if the device is stolen in a physical environment, your wallet cannot be opened. Wink

es you can, aslong as that alt is still existing. But its value will never be the same as before, because all altcoins price is not stable.

I feel this is at a point when you need to realize what you're into. For you to decide to hold it means you've taken it off your mind and you tend to go with Crypto's risk which means you can be lucky your toke should take a hood turn around by the time you'll be trading which brings more profit but you should realize its about two ways. It can rise nor fall. This is crypto's world

It is not always the case that once you hold your coins for a long period of time, the price will automatically increase. Sometimes you can hold a coin for a long time only to realize that there has not been any significant increase. Moreover, there might be some small increases along the line of which you were not aware.

I strongly do not advise you to keep Altcoins so long, for such a period it is better to invest in bitcoin. Because more than half of ICO do not hold more than a year on the market, in the end you can get

For me it's better to hold for the long term, I've bought a lot of alts in the dip, neo, monero, z cash, DeepOnion and many others, I'm planning on keeping hold of these for at least 5 years. Some will book, some won't but overall I expect a very healthy return in a few years time.

Crypto will mainstream, it's just a matter of when that happens.

Ofc you can hold anything. But the market is constantly changing trends, and therefore the crypto currencies can either rise in price or die altogether. Volatility is what constitutes a danger.

You can lose some of ERC20 tokens if Token Swap will happen... Just like it was with EOS tokens...
So you have to read some news about altcoins you hold...

As long as you have long patience and all coins get matured in the next few years. People who are into the project and huge community that are supporting. It keeps the coin stronger and pumping like a jackhammer.

•What if I dont have any money ? And I decided to hold my altcoin at my wallet.
•Will the value remain?

For example

I got a Klarity token and I got no gas so I will leave it there for a year or two.

•Any chances of value getting higher? Or it will die to years later?

Definitely, there 100% chances that your tokens will rise if you leave it in your wallet for year. But you need to do a regular check up so that you might sell at the right time

Of course you can do it. But no one knows whether the price of this coin will be higher in the years to come. Maybe it will be lower than the price at which you bought. So it's worth keeping an eye on your coins

it depends on your alt coins type, if they are tokens, you must be update because some of tokens migrate to their own main net and if you do not register your wallet you may lost your assets. so track the last news of your alt coins.

It is possible to hold for years, same time accessing the wallet quite often without moving funds is good to stay away from hackers. Because, in most of the cases the wallets that were hacked were inactive for long time. People just have fund and leave it for days which should not be done.

If you want then go ahead,it's your life and you have freedom to choice whether to keep or not. Before making any decision, always be reminded that crypto currency has many linkages so always double check everything. If you can double time,do it just to check details to make your tokens much safer and be kept or hold for years in ypur wallet. Security system must be strong so that you won't be bothered.
