Under what circumstances is trading preferred over holding?
Btc reaching 10k$ way before new year is a big shock, your opinions would be very helpful.
In this situation I think trading is very profitable then hold. Because the price of Bitcoin now unstable and very fast fluctuating.

Holding works mainly for the most powerful crypto currencies, which have good potential, because their prices are expected to rise highly in the future, but you need to make your plan firstly, and to be patient too. Trading works for short and long term, but it is a bit more risky and you need good knowledge to avoid the big losses.
today there are a lot of questions regarding the security of the accounts of the trade exchanges themselves, as well as the unstable market itself. Something seems to me that today's activities of Trajan are in great danger, and only professionals manage to avoid big losses.

Holding is better than trading because you can earn alot of holding and holding is not risky.

Trading is preferred over holding if you have time and market knowledge. Since the crypto market is quite volatile, It provides us a lot of opportunities to trade and earn. HODL is good for long-term traders who want a steady growth but if you want to earn fast then trading is the key to success.

Under what circumstances is trading preferred over holding?

When the market often fluctuates as it happens in october ~ December 2017. In this situation the market will feel warm and look normal (the situation sorely missed).

Holding works mainly for the most powerful crypto currencies, which have good potential, because their prices are expected to rise highly in the future, but you need to make your plan firstly, and to be patient too. Well that's true because in every minute the price can change that beyond our knowledge.

Your question varies from person to person perspective and personality.  If you are kind of person who is risk taker and love to think logically and not being affected by your emotion then, trading fits on you on the other hand, if you are patient and do not have much time to focus on crypto, then, holding crypto prefers for you.

The goal of most investors generally is to buy low and sell high. This can result in two quite different approaches to equity investing.
One approach is described as "trading." Trading involves following the short-term price fluctuations of different stocks closely and then trying to buy low and sell high. Traders usually decide ahead of time the percentage increase they're looking for before you sell (or decrease before they buy).
While trading has tremendous potential for immediate rewards, it also involves a fair share of risk because a stock may not recover from a downswing within the time frame you'd like—and may in fact drop further in price. In addition, frequent trading can be expensive, since every time you buy and sell, you may pay broker's fees for the transaction. Also, if you sell a stock that you haven't held for a year or more, any profits you make are taxed at the same rate as your regular income, not at your lower tax rate for long-term capital gains.

But in general we can say that trading is a little bit more risky as compare to trading. Therefore i think that those people who do not have experience in trading they should try to hold bitcoin for a long time, which is comparatively safer than trading. where you just need to wait for the price to increase and give you some profit.

You can earn both on trading, It will depend on persons perspective on how they will earn profit. Like example, if you want quick return then you are active on trading. However if you want to maximize your earnings then hold it for a longer period.

If you have quick return because you are active in trading then it's good to focus on trading alone because you can earn
as much as you want and that skills of yours will bring your fortune in crypto.
A lot of us want to make money in trading but only few are really good in doing it, so in my case if I have that skills, I would surely capitalize it.

It depends on the situation. If you have been trading for long and have got enough experience then you can decide according to the market situation. But, in general holding would be safer in all situation.

For me trading is much more effective because the trading is more profitable than holding because holding is just relaying on the overall value of the coin in the market and we do not control that thing while in trading we are the one who are buying and selling those coins so it is up to us. And yes it is very risky because you can lose but it is worth the risk if you gain that huge money that awaits to you.

Trading is kind of gambling that you don't know if you could double you profit or not. Tradinh is very risky to the newbies who don't know where is the best site to trade while holding is easy but slow or too long to wait until the right time to sell it so that you could double your money.

Before we do trading we really need to hold, that is whybi believe that both trading and holding has a connection and both are really important on the crypto currency feild. That is why I beleive that we don't need to compare both trading and holding, Maybe we hold for the right time to trade and we trade for profit and it's goes like everything is in connection of our patience. If we don't have patience we can't really hold coin foe a long term.

What they need to do is to know it first. Holding is a part of trading and for them to have a good profit they need to learn things and get them focus along with the market applications and the volume of any coin in particular. Holding can give big profits and it is even more good at this time.

For me both of that is good but it depends of you if you trade or hold but its nice if you monatoring the price so that you know the price of bitcoin and you can deside if you trade or hold.by trading its very use because if you trade you can get a fiat money but its good if the price is rising.if hold it depends of price if you think your profit is losses its hold continuesly so that your profit will back in normal.

Between trading vs. holding is an option, which should be decided before you invest further into the cryptocurrency.
The reason is one, you want maximum profit is not it?
Maximum profit is the dream of all investors, but you must be smart in deciding to invest.
Let's look at the following article:
1. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@finesse/trading-vs-holding
2. https://medium.com/@whatbitcoindid/hold-trading-my-highly-profitable-crypto-trading-strategy-ed8f23f38fe8

How? do you have a decision to choose between trading and holding?
you should start counting mathematically and then see your potential.

okay, good luck.

Generally, the ones who are more energetic and have this much sufficient time to give to things like that will go for trading and that in this thing, your personal interest also carries a very much significant importance holding is something which you should only chose if you have enough of the patience in yourself and that you can wait for some period of time before getting any earning. I thinking of holding to be much better thing as compared to that of trading.

I would like to answer this post, Trading or investing we need to choose anyone which gives us good returns or trading which can give us value to our investment. Investing is preferred when the particular trading coin is smooth in volatile and momentum otherwise it is advisable to go for trading when the   the coin is moving with high volatile when trending and no volatile movements are seen when there is no trend. Every trader has different trading style some prefer short-term trading and other prefer investing.
