Ekaterina began her career in personnel management in 2008 from the Head of the Human Resources Department position in the large enterprise which employed more than 300 people. It required effective guidance of the team working at the international level. In addition, Ekaterina completed training at the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, where she acquired additional knowledge of psychology, that is very valuable for a specialist who work in the field of personnel formation and development.

Ekaterina joined IQeon in 2017, when the project team just started to form. At that time the specialist aligned personnel records and systematized office work.

Today, the expert monitors the situation on the labor market, conducts a quick and high-quality search for specialists, participates in the training and adaptation of new team members, takes part in personnel changes aimed at solving strategic issues, maintains documentation on the accounting and movement of personnel, administers document management, and also forms personnel reserve.

“A personnel specialist is a type of psychological and managerial work: I not only analyze the personality, but also predict the success of employee’s work in the company. Often when forming an effective team it is necessary not only to pay attention to the professional skills of the candidate, but also to rely on intuition. The sixth sense allows to filter people and identify the most suitable candidates for the company. The ability to listen to your own voice coupled with experience becomes decisive, as it can complement the picture created on the basis of the objective characteristics of the future employee.”

According to Ekaterina, a person is always a value for a good personnel specialist, not a tool. IQeon introduces AML and KYC standards into the platform

Friends, we are pleased to announce that with the support of Fractal, the German developer of customer identification solutions, we have successfully implemented Know Your Customer procedure in the gaming platform.

Earlier, IQeon team decided tointroduce KYC/AML procedures as part of fraud combating. Enhancing platform security is possible by adding partial user identification. This procedure is an important step towards ensuring increased protection of IQeon.com participants data.

You can go through KYC verification procedure by clicking “Security” button under “My Account” tab in the player’s personal account. Later on, a popup window will display a description of the steps that must be fulfilled to confirm the identity on the platform. You can go through the identification procedure in Russian, English and Chinese languages.

We remind you that user privacy is our priority, therefore, for IQeon.com players, passing KYC is not a mandatory criterion for entering the platform. They need to go through a partial identification procedure if we receive a signal about a potentially illegal activity or activity with increased risks. For example, if a number of suspicious transactions are carried out from the account of one user. In this case, the player will receive a request to confirm that he has reached the age of legal capacity or is situated in a permitted jurisdiction.

According to IDC Health Insights, blockchain technology can take hold of the healthcare industry by 2021. With its help, the storage of patient data, medical history can be systematized and become available anywhere in the world, the loss and falsification of medical documents can be eliminated, the supply chain of medicines from the manufacturer to the points of sale can be controlled and much more.

Thus, Estonia has implemented blockchain solutions on a national scale. The country launched the eHealth Foundation which has digitized all citizens' medical records for more convenient interaction with doctors. And the international company FarmaTrust uses a distributed ledger for tracking pharmaceutical products quality during deliveries, which helps to reduce costs and waiting time for subsidized medicine, to exclude its counterfeiting.

In civil aviation, blockchain testing was carried out back in early 2017. The Russian airline S7, for example, uses blockchain to issue and sell tickets. Logistics

Companies specializing in commercial transportation are already willingly implementing blockchain, because this technology contributes to the creation of absolutely transparent deliveries, and also protects the interests of both the owners of the goods and the end consumers. And the decentralized applications developed for this make it possible to understand where the order is at a specific time frame and in what conditions it is stored.

For example, the well-known North American retailer Walmart has implemented the Food Trust blockchain solution in the food delivery process. And Nestlé uses the same tool to manage the supply chain for ingredients such as milk or palm oil. In this way, the company wants to show what their products are made of.

The Everledger project uses a distributed ledger in the diamond industry. Blocks store data on the origin of a gem, its color, transparency, cutting, weight and other information. And Maersk, together with IBM, launched the TradeLens logistics system based on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain to track shipping freight traffic and exchange customs information between participants in the supply chain.

Counter-piracy and copyright

It happens that creative works are pirated by third parties. Even worse than that, scammers can use them for commercial purpose to gain their own benefit. However, the blockchain is able to solve this problem: the product only needs to be stored in one of the blocks of the chain. The material is hashed, the date and time of encryption is entered into the block, which assigns the rights to only one genuine author.

In addition, blockchain allows to fight illegal downloading of content from the Internet. By placing it in a distributed block, the owner can track content usage. For example, one of the largest television providers in the United States Dish Network has filed a patent application for a new "anti-piracy system" on the blockchain, which allows owners to embed a unique identification mark in the code of the work. This will help to better monitor and enforce proprietary rights by alerting authors when their content is being used without permission.

Electronic voting

Blockchain has the potential to dramatically improve the legal landscape, and it can have the greatest impact on the voting process. The technology will eliminate fraud and falsification of voting results, provide an opportunity to vote from anywhere in the world, and speed up the counting of votes.

Previously, the authorities were inactive about the idea of ​​using distributed ledger technology, but the leaders of the state of West Virginia conducted the first experiment with remote voting on the blockchain and claim that they will use the technology during the US presidential elections in 2020.

In many countries, corruption is still a problem. IQeon Development Update – August 6

Dear friends! We would like to present our new report on the development of IQeon platform for the period from July 9 to August 5, 2020.

General platform changes:

• Internal optimization of the platform is underway. In particular, the content on the pages with games was interlinked;
• The section with tasks of the reward system has been improved, including the design of the "Contests" tab;
• The block with the best players of the month, as well as the user chat on the platform have been changed. The section now displays three users with the best results for the month, and the chat field has been expanded to make it easier to view the latest messages;
• Display of game status when the user ignores a request for a match with a stake has been fixed. Now, if the user has not responded to the offer to participate in the game, the notification status changes to “No response”;
• A bug with updating a completed player’s session has been fixed. Now, if the session of using the gaming platform becomes inactive, the user is redirected to the page of authorization;
• The dark version of the game platform has been improved. Now all elements and icons are displayed correctly;

Java developer Aivar Shahau: “Development is not about turning an abstract idea into code”

After graduating from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Aivar worked as an engineer for some time, however, having evaluated the huge potential of programming, he decided to study the popular language Java.

Aivar is confident that Java is still one of the most demanded languages in the programming market. Its development is always on the go: there are new versions appearing, that contain many functions which help in the development of upscale products.

"Java has been on the market for a long time – its ecosystem has been actively developing since the early 2000s. And I believe that the language will remain the top one in the next decade. Today, most of the fintech tools, banking software, AR/VR products, as well as a significant part of the corporate software used by large companies to achieve business targets, are written in Java. Architecture optimization and new questions: how we updated Quiz game

Friends, we are pleased to announce that an updated version of Quiz game is already available for platform users!

Today we will tell you what has been changed in the latest version of an exciting game for brain training and increase of intelligence level.

Development:

• The main changes were made to the architecture of the game. The frontend and backend parts were significantly elaborated, new frameworks were used, which made it possible to organize a more efficient development process and stabilize the server;
• The number of requests to the server has been optimized, which made it possible to activate accelerated loading of matches;
• The in-game content was encrypted in order to improve data protection;
• The loading speed of the quiz was increased thanks to the reducing the size of the executable files;
• The bugs in the game were fixed. In particular, a delay while searching for an opponent has been eliminated. Opponents now join the match within 60 seconds.

Gameplay:

• More than 1000 new questions for different categories of the quiz have been compiled. In particular, some sections of the intellectual game have been updated.

The threat to national security and the digitalization of the economy: how countries regulate cryptocurrencies

Despite the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, the trend towards stricter regulation and de-anonymization still persists. Governments are introducing new rules and prohibitions that affect the digital money industry in one way or another. In addition, the EU is exerting significant pressure on the cryptocurrency industry, which is trying to implement unified approaches to the regulation and taxation of transactions with coins and tokens.

In today's article, we will explore measures that are being taken by the authorities in particular countries with a high level of digital development and how they are changing the field of crypto assets.

USA: regulation is the prerogative of different agencies

In America, legal framework for working with cryptocurrencies is on the stage of preparing. Moreover, the regulation will be controlled by several departments at once. Each of them will be responsible for a different aspect: assets, exchanges, regulation by banks, regulatory framework.

The regulatory environment differs from state to state. Any cryptocurrency relationship is determined not only by federal legislation, but also by the laws of individual states. For example, in New York State, there is a need to license activities with crypto assets, which is not common in many other states. Estonia: a crypto haven amidst a storm of bills

South Korea: not banned, but tightly controlled

Recently, the South Korean authorities have legalized cryptocurrency trading and storage, but the country still has a strict attitude towards digital assets. Marketplaces are tightly controlled by government agencies, including the local Financial Services Commission (FSC). For example, in the event of hacks or failures in the systems’ operation, crypto exchanges are obliged to compensate users for their losses. In addition, FSC began to directly control trading platforms and has the right to revoke their licenses due to non-compliance with FATF requirements.

In March 2020, the Central Bank of South Korea announced that it is going to issue its own bonds on the blockchain and is exploring the technology's prospects for recording securities transactions on a distributed ledger. However, the Central Bank is skeptical about digital assets and the national cryptocurrency. From October 2021, the country will have a 20% tax on income from cryptocurrency trading.

China: from loyalty to a complete ban on cryptocurrencies

For a long time, the Celestial Empire was considered the world center of the bitcoin industry. However, in 2017, the PRC authorities banned ICO and cryptocurrency exchanges. At the end of 2019, the Shanghai branch of the People's Bank of China announced its intention to destroy the remnants of the crypto industry in the country. Local law enforcement agencies continue to wipe out cryptocurrency exchanges.

The situation is different with digital assets: China has no laws that would regulate them. The country's authorities are not against cryptocurrencies, but they are ready to support them only if they are able to strengthen the national currency. The People's Bank of China, meanwhile, is actively testing the digital yuan.

Russia: you can mine, you can't pay

At the moment, there is no cryptocurrency regulation in the Russian Federation, but on July 31, President Vladimir Putin signed the law "On digital financial assets", which will come into force on January 1, 2021. According to it, income from cryptocurrency transactions will be taxed according to the following formula: income from sales minus acquisition costs, and the difference will be taxed at a rate of 13% for residents of the country.

In addition, the legal document allows to legally buy, sell, exchange and invest in digital assets, use them as pawn, but prohibits their use as a means of payment.

As for mining, its regulation, together with a more detailed consideration of digital currencies, is planned to be determined in another law, which may be adopted this fall.

Belarus: everything is possible if you are careful

The republic has fairly loyal conditions in relation to the digital currency industry. According to the 2017 Decree on the Development of the Digital Economy, residents of Belarus with the High-Tech Park (HTP) resident status or with the participation of a HTP resident, can buy and sell cryptocurrencies, as well as issue their own virtual money. Until 2023, profits from cryptocurrency transactions will not be taxed.

As for mining, it is allowed in the country, tokens can be purchased and exchanged for Belarusian rubles, foreign currency, electronic money, as well as be donated and bequeathed. To conduct legitimate activities, the creators of crypto projects must identify clients, comply with AML/CFT rules and provide reports on the turnover of funds.

Now national economies are developing taking into account the widespread distribution of digital assets, and the authorities are trying to bring the regulation of the cryptocurrency industry to a single standard.

In the minds of the leaders of different countries, a revolution is already taking place: they understand that the prohibition of cryptocurrency activities will entail large economic losses from the turnover of digital projects, and, accordingly, potential tax revenues from these amounts. At the same time, entrepreneurs working with digital money will be forced to apply their efforts and investments in other jurisdictions that are loyal to this ​​business.

Many countries are already choosing a progressive path of development – they are following the path of "absolution" of an area that until recently was prejudiced. And this is a way that can help to stay on the top both technologically and socially.

IQeon Development Update – September 4

Dear friends! We would like to present our new report on the development of IQeon platform for the period from August 6 to September 3, 2020.

General platform changes:

• “My IQN” tab has been updated. In particular, new approaches to the solutions of the tasks from partners have been implemented, as well as displaying video has been improved on this tab.
• The pop-up notification during transaction processing has been added. There is a special alert now which appears if the withdrawal amount is less than 2 IQN and over 50 IQN.
• Light and dark versions of the platform have been improved. This option automatically changes depending on the browser theme.
• The function when the platform language is the same with the language of the browser has been updated.
• The content of the “FAQ” block has been updated.

User profile:

• The configuration of the “Games History” tab has been optimized. Now, what is displayed is only a game name, prize pool and an amount of won and lost IQN. You need to tap “+” to view further information about a finished match.
• Restrictions on the information that may be included into a personal profile have been added. Thus, upper and lower bounds of date of birth tab were set and the banned word list was expanded.
• Restrictions on displaying user nicknames on the platform chat and the “Best players of the month” block have been added. Now, only the first fifteen characters of a player’s name are available.
• The “Activity Log” tab has been hidden from “My games” page.

Platform interface:

• Elements on the “Statistics” tab have been adapted to the user’s screen resolution.
• The “Support” button has been added to the top bar of the platform. Thus, authorized users can switch instantly to the feedback form by tapping the question icon which is next to a user profile picture icon.
• The bug with displaying inactive tabs in profile settings while zooming a page has been fixed. Now, only the main profile sections are available with 1.5x zoom.

Security:

• User IP address verification during the registration process is available now. This would prevent multi-accounting and strengthen the platform security.

 
Games module:

• Displaying answers in the “Quiz” game has been improved. Now, long answers are shown correctly in a few lines.

Product Manager Dzmitry Spichonak: “PM is a powerful combination of users, technology and business”

Dzmitry started to develop his IT career while he was just a schoolboy. Having received additional education in webmastering, he continued to make progress in a popular direction. After graduating from university, Dzmitry occupied different positions with a wide range of responsibilities from development and design to advertising and promotion. Over time, the specialist delved into the project management, took many courses in business analytics, marketing, economics and finance, worked in a gamedev studio, robotics company and the one specialized in cloud services. After all, the choice of expert fell on the creation and development of IT products and services – product management.

At IQeon, Dzmitry is responsible for the creation of products, their continuous improvement and development. Moreover, by analyzing existing pilot products, he suggests new features for implementation and helps to set out the priority of tasks.

"To create a top product you need to conduct thorough research of markets, competitors and the user needs. It becomes the basis for the prototype of the future product. It is critically important not to consider yourself a user and not to design a product under the motto “I prefer it that way”. This is the mistake of many novice product managers.

All you need is to find an answer to simple questions: why and for whom the product is being created? All user requests should be treated carefully and passed through the perspective of customer development* and behavioral engineering** – these are the best practices of interaction with the end-user."

"When a person understands what he is doing and for whom, it gives him an incentive to come up with interesting ideas, look for more ingenious solutions and allows to feel his involvement in the development of a particular product. That's what teamwork is about. It happens that the process of discussing ideas turns into a controversy. And a good manager should be able to show empathy and work with conflicts, making them profitable for the company and streamlining a constructive discussion."

Dzmitry compares his work with a strategic chess game: an expert needs to be able to predict development several steps ahead and calculate all possible scenarios just as in the popular board game. To do this, a product manager needs to understand the development process, have a general idea of ​​the technology stack and product architecture even if he doesn’t have a technical background.

Most of all, Dzmitry loves analytical tasks: searching for new markets, user groups and their needs, new points of product growth.

"Product management is a powerful combination of user needs, technology and business, and for me, it's also a kind of mindset. A working product that meets all its purposes is not a final victory.
