altcoin is better than bitcoin. people dont know that thing. they just hear about bitcoin when say about blockchain or crypto. that is the point.

of course alt coins will survive if bitcoin survives. everybody should understand that there is direct relation with bitcoin and altcoins. if something happens to bitcoin then we lose all the crypto currency market.

Why not? There are hundreds good altcoins with their projects in the world which helps people solve the difficult problems in the economy. Why do their coins can not survive?

Well it depends on the alt and the project but I'm sure that in time many alts will dissapear from market and crypto space. Let's wait for 2018 and we will see how top 100 on coinmarketcap will shuffle again with new coins.

Altcoins that strong enough to be deserving a spot in this world will surely survice. We have more than needed amount of alt coins because of people's greediness but they are not meant to survive and they will not. This kind of crashes are good actually because they clear the market from unnecessary coins.

If a demand for a coin increases, the price of the coin increases. This is one of the most basic rate of the markets. And also, in my opinion, it is hard to say something about the relation between altcoins and bitcoins now.

Majority of them won't survive. A lot of alts are backed by weak technology and people looking for a quick buck. However, there are some gems out there that will stay around for sure. If the technology is good, the alt will be around. The underlying technology will be the determining factor.

I think the same as the above-stated reply. Many altcoins would not survive especially because bitcoin is making a run that really affects most altcoins negatively. Also, if the developers would not do something about and just leave their coins in waiting or hanging, then that would surely spell the peril and death for their altcoin. I think there will be some that will survive because altcoins bring vibrancy and action to the market; a market is not healthy when only one player is controlling its movement.

Sure, Bitcoin price is not going to have big affect on alt coin, usually traders is looking for chances to buy alt coin at low price and when Bitcoin price going up usually alt coin going down, and that is the moment traders going to buy, all crypto is depend on the users not bitcoin price

Definitely, it will survive. As the Bitcoin survives, altcoin continue to exist. People cant afford to buy Bitcoin because it is expensive, so the alternative is to buy and invest in Bitcoin then later trade it to Bitcoin.

There are more than 1000 cryptocurrencies in the world. They are more or less following the principles of bitcoin, their mother currency. Among them very few are popular one like Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Dash, Ripple etc. Many of these altcoins have potentials to be like bitcoin. Currently they have value only because of bitcoin currency. If anything bad happens to bitcoins no investor will go and invest in these altcoins.

There are many promising altcoins today. And will definitely survive together with Bitcoin. After a few years we will see what are the alternative coins that will retain its place in the market. Ethereum, IOTA, Waves, Utrust and XEM are my few favorites.
