This totally depends on the risk you are willing to take , and whether you already established a good knowledge about the cryptocurrencies field or not .
Someone invested enough in cryptos won't think a second about ceasing this opportunity to start trading and investing , more skeptical people will use the easy way : holding .
But the fools (with all due respect ) will give away their fortune - and i'm using give away not sell because it's the case ! they are giving it for less than 10% of it's potential value - , and unless you ain't in any critical situation , keeping your coins will be by far more ideal than selling them !

But when to sell?

When you dont need to sell anymore. It means waiting for full Bitcoin economy to estabilish, so no need to sell and use fiat anymore.

Hey guys, I've decided to ask you - what whould you do in this problemmatic situation?

Suppose you have some bitcoins (let's say 22) and you bought them / got them a few years ago very cheap, and now you see it's price and.... what to do?!! Will you take the profit and go away, or sit and hold further? Suppose you're not going to buy more. But when to sell?

You can apply this in any situation, Market is depending on the supply and demand so it only means that it is normal for your coins to decrease its value. The only problem is that, There are a lot of newbies which tend to panic and sell their coins immediately when the price is going down and that will be their time to lose a lot of profit.

if i have 22 bitcoin will hold 5-10 bitcoins and exchange 5 bitcoin into altcoins and cash rest.
if you have 22 bitcoin with very cheap price will sell it because you gain
If I have 22 bitcoin I will divide it, the 1/2 of it is I will hold it then the other 1/4 is maybe I sell it then the other 1/4 is will use for my needs. Or may hold it until it reach much amount of value then make plan in how can I spend my bitcoin and grow it more.

If it was me in that situation if I was in need of fiat I would sell some, not all tho at the end of the day you are still sitting well ahead if you bought years ago. From here you could even turn some into altcoins and maybe do the same thing again. 22 btc would give you a large amount for investing into something else.

The point is that you can sell some while always remain invested. That is why I plan to do with mine.

Let’s say that you bought them at $500, they are currently worth $16,500 each. You could sell three of them and you would almost have $50,000 in cash and you would also have 19 bitcoins and could wait until bitcoin price raises more to sell some more.

For me, it’s not a dilemma.

With so many bitcoins, you can sell a part, and leave the remaining amount of bitcoins and wait until the price is even higher.

I really hope you didn't sell because bitcoin has skyrocket since then. Why sell them to begin with? Use them. Keep then for the future. No need to sell them. You still thinking wrong. You don't need to sell bitcoin. Bitcoin is a currency in itself and is becoming more and more common and accepted.

The dilema you are going to face when you try to play the bitcoin game as a investment person is you always have the fear the price could go down. Alot of times people that are new to world of investment want quick returns and sell when the price drops like 5 percent.  Now you also have to consider the tax implications on gains as well.

Do all of the above, take some off the table so no matter what happens you would have realised some gain and not feel bad if it crashes.

Well for me, if I have that amount of BTC in my hand right now, I will cash it out my initial investment so I can get my ROI (it would be great if you add some of your profit to taste the fruit of your investment)
Then after I cash out my ROI, I will cash out some to make a real life business that I love and I know, which can gives a good passive income to my net worth. And finally I will hold all the remain until the price goes up even more, because bitcoin is definitely can goes higher.

I am sure that if you cash out that bitcoin, you only need a small amount of bitcoin to get back your investment money because the bitcoin price now increases high and you can keep the rest of your bitcoin as your long term investment. I will do that way too but I will use the rest to trade so I can have more bitcoin from trading profit. I do not forget to create some real business in my real life so I can start my own business while I still do trading to have another profit.

Don't ask people in the internet for questions you should have the answer to. Whatever the case maybe, do whatever you want with your bitcoins. If you hold, you'll probably lost money now because bitcoin prices declined today. But if you withdrew some then good for you. You have money.

The only dilemma in people's mind right now is when to sell, the ones who brought it some year's ago and even those who just bought it have one thing in mind, do we wait or we sell. This dilemma will continue till the price of Bitcoin is stable. I think it would be wise to wait for some time there will suddenly be a spike in price and if the spike goes upward or downward only time will tell.

There is potential in Bitcoin to reach 100.000 I will just hold a few more years. You can also invest in altcoins some of it, look how high altcoins are now.

we must educate our self about how bitcoin work. In my opinion bitcoin will grow in 50 years ahead. imagine like warrent buffet when he buy a stock he will keep the stock 10 year 20 year even more 20 year. i never sell my investment if the price will grow.

It depends on whether the person need to use money at the moment and whether he/she believe that the price will rise in the future. For me, I will hold the 22 bitcoin and only sell the amount I need to use.

Holding or selling bitcoin is always a difficult decision because bitcoin value is not fixed and if there is no need of extra money then i will go for holding  but in case i need some extra money then i will sell all my coins in available price.
