Hey guys, I've decided to ask you - what whould you do in this problemmatic situation?

Suppose you have some bitcoins (let's say 22) and you bought them / got them a few years ago very cheap, and now you see it's price and.... what to do?!! Will you take the profit and go away, or sit and hold further? Suppose you're not going to buy more. But when to sell?

if a person has, say, 22 BTC then they need to suck it up and stop trying to off-load their responsabilities and worries on others. There isn't a magical right moment, and nobody can even remotely suggest a decent one that will make the supposed person happy.

keep in mind that nobody has to sell his entire starsh at once.

Honestly, if you bought bitcoins years ago, selling now and even months before would be very reasonable. In a sense, the fruit.is already ripe and it's good to be picked. But if you're too greedy, I'm sure you'll always regret selling those coins(whenever that is) ones you see bitcoin increases again from that point. Worse thing is you might not even be able to sell it because of that mentality.

I guess it depends if you need the money right now or not.. They are pretty high but I believe they wil go higher. They might go lower for a while first though..

I don't want to sell my coins until it would be like one of the final pieces of the puzzle to never have to work anymore and go live life to the fullest..

I might get short on them, but only in effort to gain more coins..

Money will never be earned.
If I bought 22 bitcoin years ago, I will sell without hesitation.
Allow me to use this part of the money to buy other altcoin, and then come up with some to buy a few mine machine for myself.

Why not to be greedy if you may possibly lose a bigger profit in a year or two? You're right I'd regret or even be depressed if so

It's easy to say so... Why to sell if bitcoin is still growing?

Well if you don't want to sell, why are you looking for reasons to sell? Hodl it out until you think the value has reached a level where you feel comfortable about not having to ask people about whether to sell.

Don't sell it, keep it with you. Bitcoin will be growing even more. And everybody knows it. It's going to get down and grow again, but the price will be higher and higher.

If you have 22, you could play with 2-3 btc. Like, you could sell them when the price is getting higher and buy when it goes down.

You can always pick out exit levels. Your end goal could be something like 20 million dollars. Sell 5 Bitcoin now. Then every time Bitcoin doubles, sell another one until you reach 20 million dollars.

Even better. Sell only 3 now and 1 more every time bitcoin doubles until you've reached 20 million dollars. Then keep those other 2 forever. Cheesy

Have fun.

The best to do here is to set a good price to sell your bitcoin. Bitcoin reached $11K this month and I think it will not be staying there for long, which I am correct, it quickly go back to $10K and I think it will be staying there for a while.

I think it is best to hold it for now and wait until the end of the year. Bitcoin's ATH mostly happened at the end of the year, it is not even the end of the year we still have the month of December. I guess if bitcoin reach an ATH of $11K or higher, I think you can think of it as a good price to sell your bitcoins. If the price did not reach that price, I guess waiting and holding it is the best thing to do.

For me try to sell 5-10 Bitcoin then hold the remainig . Then next year try to sell another 2 bitcoin if the price rises . Do not hold too long your Bitcoin maybe just put some then use the others. The best time to sell bitcoin for me is when it reaches $15000 price or value that was already enough for spending unto things that you want and needed.

You have a good point but bitcoin, being unpredictable, we don't know when will the price go down. We can say that it is still increasing but the price dump from $11K back to $10K.

Bitcoin made a lot of people paranoid because of this question, to sell or to hold. If someone chooses to sell, the price pumps, making him disappointed or regret on what he has done. When you hold and the bitcoin price dumps another regret. I guess we must come to decide when to sell it or to hold it, the price where we will not be regretting that we sold our bitcoins and juts enjoy the profit you've got.

If in my opinion better save some and sell some because bitcoin prices are not stable so with it you can feel the profit bitcoin for the price now ,,, but for now better save until the end of the year because in the new year bitcoin price Can up to 20 thousand US dollars ..

sell and go away? no
sit and not sell? also no.

there is a lot of options in the middle! you say you have bought bitcoin years ago. i assume it can be from $200 to $500. and 22 bitcoin is $4,400 to $11,000.
if you want profit you can sell 1 or 2 bitcoin tops to get both your initial investment out and still have a huge profit and also a huge investment in bitcoin.

1-2 is just an example though. choose any number you like. it is paramount that you always invest what you can afford to lose.

I do not see this as a problematic situation, and I would not have anything against to be in such situation with some nice amount of BTC in my wallet.Solution is very simple,if you need some money now just sell and take nice profit-if you belive that price will go up in future and you not need money now then hold.

I agree that it is very tempting to see this price and not to sell if you buy few years ago when BTC was worth a few hundred dollars. If I am in this situation I would sell 10-15% and enjoy in upcoming holidays-life is only one and you can not hold forever Smiley
