Alright time for me to look like a newbie, I just got a shiny D3 and before i flip any switches I wanted to make sure I didn't mess anything up with my coordination of cables. Using the Bitmains Powersupply you get 4 bundles of cables, two are single and the other two are 4 each for a total of 10 pcie plugs. the D3 takes 10 plugs in total, a match made in heaven.

The D3 has 3 rows of 3 and a final single pcie slot on top.

Now here is my question does it matter how these are plugged in? I am only worried since I haven't dealt with server style psu and I am not sure how the 12v rail works on this and if there are multiple rails.

Please if you have experience with this setup let me know, thanks.

just power the box either across or up and down...way I did mine was make sure the cables that were not single were on separate rows and then matched up the singles across the row.

So let me get this right: The op has over 6k posts and yet has no idea how to plug in a miner....  Roll Eyes WTF?
Also has no idea that not all coins are BTC? The D3 mines DASH - an altcoin - and queries about alts belong IN THE ALTCOIN AREAS! Not the Bitcoin ones...

For bitcoin to succeed the community must police itself - Joshua Zipkin aka Joshua Alexander leaked AMT A1 miner skype chats

Lol that is very odd. Op is legendary account and dont know how to plug in a antminer. Also posting in the wrong topic. Haha that is pretty funny. But just plug them in any hole you see. You will be fine.
Hope you finally tried running your new shiny d3 and your hashing away.. or your still waiting for an answer from here? Goodluck and happy mining.
